Re: Problem with selling amps is...

Selling amps carries unfathomable amounts of liability. If you plan on selling amps or are selling amps make sure you dot every I and cross every T. All it takes is someone getting injured and your ass is open for business. I've sold 3 ground up builds to Vetted- close friends and threatened all 3 t...

Re: HRM Trimmers

It would be an expensive project to do, but I've been contemplating using CTS Concentric pots and re-wafering them to the correct values to add HRM Controlls to the front panel without drilling additional holes, keep the look relatively clean as well..

Re: Mike Landau, tone, feel out the wazoo...

Back in 2008-2009 around Namm - I went and saw Mike at the Baked Potato - it was by far the best live performance I've ever witnessed, it was as if time stood still people were stunned and there were quite a few heavy hitter guys in the crowd too, just as frozen as everyone else.. Mike had a pair of...

Re: Opinions on the Fuchs Plush Verbrator?

They work great- can't really go wrong with it! I've got the TubeFx loop version, its dead quiet and works great..
I have no affiliation with Andy/Fuchs amps - but he knows what he's doing and makes great stuff ;)

That is ironic!!

If you find it great -

I've been burning white oak out behind my building sending smoke signals to amplitrex.
Maybe they'll get them or the carrier pigeons I sent

Re: Relays: Solder or Socket? What's best practice?

if you can socket them, socket them! low cost on the socket. molded relays can and will deform at the pins if your irons too hot! They don't like heat and it only takes so much to wreck one.. With that being said its just another level of insurance the relay wont be compromised.. dumble didn't use t...

Re: BNP Lasers - Retired? sh*t!

Yea I gotta give those folks a try - building up a bunch of EF86 2x EL34 amps sort of a KT45 DR.Z with a BMTP (bass, mid, treb, presence) tone stack.
