You can take tweed and stain it virtually any color- mohawk brand stain works really well and you can control intensity by diluting the stain down with alcohol, do a few sample runs, notate ratios.. ARS Electronics- great company- some NOS glass, lots of JJ but they weed out the duds and actually match the tubes- Haven't had a bogus testing tube or mismatched power tube yet. Pricing is essentially the same on most tubes, everything comes nicely packed in peanuts and that's piece of mind..

Have a dual P90 guitar, love them - the noise even with good shielding is just annoying, tried some P100 gibson pickups which are pretty anemic sounding..
