Wiring Diagram HTS-8093-1
RJs website is down so I could not find the wiring diagram for the Dynaco 470 HTS-8093-1 that I got from him.
Can someone confirm I have the output impedance wiring correct from the ones from RJ?

Re: New 6G6-B build, blown OT???
Post a internal pic of the amp. Do you still get faint sound out of it? Try chop stick to see if there is intermittent connection. Look for a bad solder joint. Its hard to troubleshoot without a scope and signal generator but with a little patience you will find it.

Re: New 6G6-B build, blown OT???
If you measure resistance from ct to each plate wire and get open is clear indicator that the primaries are shot. Double check just to be sure. I do not think you can get a measurement from plate to plate wire. You need to measure from CT to each plate wire and should measure ballpark 100 ohms i thi...

Re: Basic recording setup
I use cubase sx3 and a Mackie Onyx satellite console mixer and switch between 2 mics a audix i5 and a apex415. If you look over alot of different mixers on the web they sometimes offer a free entry DAW software for the PC or MAC. Then an investment in a good mic is key. Hard to say what will work wh...

AC line noise and voice coil going bad???
Couple things 1. OK I've monkeyed with my Celestion V30 and G12H speakers for years between cabinets and amps and now noticing some strange vibration noise when playing clean. There are no rips or dirt in the cones. I inspected it closely. How can i prove the voice coil is going bad? 2. I think I am...

Re: Instrument Cables - Make your own
I too will never by store bought again. I went with the Mogami w2524 cable with Neutrik Gold TS connectors on about half of my cables (instrument+pedalboard). High quality stuff and very pleased with my tone. I even went and changed out my speaker cable with Mogami w3082. The only thing I did not li...

Instrument Cables - Make your own
I have been needing some instrument cables and I had tried out some pretty expensive mogami cables and really liked how clean and quiet they were but did not care for how stiff they are. I guess i could get used to the stiffness and maybe they will loosen up when i beat them up over time. I found re...

Re: Spitfire Build
Here is a demo using a SG faded in the bridge position with the spitfire at moderate volume and a 2x12 cab with v30+G12H.
I just got some new instrument cables and had to record something with them. Forgive the sloppy playing.

Re: Spitfire Build
The switch does nothing to the tone. I like how bright the sound is. Still trying different preamp tubes.

Spitfire Build
I finally completed my spitfire build. Sounds great and has that great el84 chimy cleans. Just in time for the holiday break where i can break it in.
Thanks Mark for all the info on this one. I got the last chassis from Ken. This was on the oops shelf and i managed to get it at a great price.
