I just read the 12 page thread about him on here. I think maybe its best left alone.

I admin on the Tube Amp Builders Facebook page. Who is this Bill Burgess guy? His incessant posting of clips is beginning to get a bit annoying.

Re: CE Compliance ...finally
I've been following your work for a while now and I'd like to say congratulations on finally getting this certification. Your amps are unreal in every single aspect from design to how they sound. Something to aspire to for me!!

Re: Express(ion) Build
Quick update. I gigged the amp at a biker festival on Saturday night past, playing outdoors to around 700 people in various states of inebriation/undress. Alas, my worries were ill-founded. The amp rocks big time. I absolutely love it. I stuck with the EL34's and used a 12AY7 in V1 and a 12AT7 in th...

Re: Express(ion) Build
Thanks lads. I was aware of the nature of the Express with regards to dynamics and sensitivity to how the guitar volume is set... but wow, it took me by surprise just how powerful it is. I'll mess around with it some more and see. I'm pretty sure I have a couple of 12AT7's kicking around. I'll exper...

Express(ion) Build
Hi. Just finished off my first Express-a-like in the form of a Ceriatone kit. Nice sounding amp but I was totally taken aback by the sheer volume of this beast. Running a pair of NOS EL34's and some new Tung-Sols in the preamp. I'm happy with how it sounds but need to do something about the volume. ...

Eric Clapton Dumble - pic included
Hi, a Facebook friend of mine managed to get a pretty good shot of Eric Clapton's backline today. I was surprised to see a Dumble on there! What's the story with this?

I have been following this thread since its inception. Now that the amp is up and running and sounding they way you want, can you post the finalised layout? I'd love to build this one.

I wasn't aware that there were such feeling toward Nik. My 2 pennies: the information posted here was put into the public domain, by sharing such information you no longer have control over how it's used. If someone with business acumen spots an opportunity to make some money from it, who cares. I s...

Re: Is TDS still in business?
The PT fits perfectly but the OT needs to be stand up mounted. Mounting the ot that way also negates the need for the shield.
