Re: Two Rock Opal and HRM bypass and TS-1
I have an Opal and have been looking for a Schematic so I can plot out some mods. The HRM by pass is a good feature. Somehow the amp sounds good in both mods with just a little more grind and compression in HRM mode. Gutshots anyone? If you own one, can't you open it up and grab some gutshots? Or i...

Re: Who has Dumble #059 now?
Ahhh my apologies, I misunderstood the document and thought that Phil Winfield was the party that had purchased the amp from Maverick!
Do Maverick have previous on this charge? I've never bought anything from them but have never heard anyone speak poorly of them.

Of course! But I'll be covering up select parts of the circuit with carefully placed dollar bills!dorrisant wrote:Your gonna post gutshots, right?halfbackstrat wrote: I think the only way to resolve this peacefully is for them to give the money and the amplifier to me, that way everyone loses.

Re: Who has Dumble #059 now?
I guess Phil Winfield might not be a victim, for all we know he could have received the amplifier and given his money to Maverick Music and the problem could just be between Maverick and JM. I think the only way to resolve this peacefully is for them to give the money and the amplifier to me, that w...

Re: Who has Dumble #059 now?
What would possess him to sell his prototype TR Sig? As far as I know he still uses two of them on stage at any one time, along with the SSS. Surprised he's selling the Dumble as well tbh. How did you confirm it was him Rob? http://www.maverick-music.com/vintage-amps/dumble-overdrive-reverb-od-100wr...

Re: Robben Ford Plays Cincinnati
The black strat is a guitar made by UK luthier Simon Law (SVL Guitars) who works as Robben's tech sometimes, he also techs and builds guitars for Matt Schofield! Great instruments.
Glad you enjoyed the show Martin. You said 124 schematics in your post, I thought the blonde amp was #102?

Is the tone expander any different from the High/Low Cut on an SSS?

John Mayer with a Dumbleland?
Just saw this posted over on the mystupidmouth John Mayer forum (credit to hkmayerfan for posting these) It would appear Mr Mayer has replaced his SSS (perhaps temoprarily) with a Dumbleland, anybody know the story on this amp? Re: New Ceriatone Overtone build with a few q. Completed!
I have mine wired as a pentode triode switch
I believe the ground switch voids the amp from passing any official electrical safety regulations? I could be wrong about that.

Re: Two triode reverb
Bah! my mistake was searching two triode rather than one tube! Thanks very much Martin, I may rename this thread with the other mods I'd like to do and edit the original post Just so it doesn't go to waste, however if an Admin would like to delete this before I do so, that's perfectly alright with m...

Two triode reverb
Has anyone ever experimented with a two triode tube driven reverb? I never really use the OD section on my ODS and thought it might be better to use that space for something I will use, the idea of having a tube driven spring reverb appeals to me but I don't have space in the chassis for a 5 triode ...

Cracking inductance
Has anyone ever experienced a desktop computer 2/3 feet from an amp causing a prominent crackling in through the speakers? Is it possible that the dc current in the computer could induct into the amp? The reason I draw this conclusion is my amp crackles and the volume drops when my pc is on! If this...

Thanks Tom, I've checked how well the ratio level and od trim pots function thanks to this but I'll now go through and check everything!

Re: Cracking glass and problems with my first build
Ratio: The resistance of the middle pin to ground varies linearly as the pot is turned. 100k resistance to ground when the pot is at 10, which makes sense. 0 resistance leading from the centre tap of the level control to the 180k resistor on pin 7 V2. Just about to check the trim pot. Your help is s...
