Re: how are you cutting your circuit board material?
Yep, I've used a plain old hacksaw for short cuts with success. I haven't tried long cuts but I definitely will now if I brake a blade!

Re: how are you cutting your circuit board material?
A circular tablesaw would be sweet but I use a benchtop bandsaw. Works great for me but blade choice is critical if you wanna cut more than a couple boards. That old school red board with glass shards/swirls is BRUTAL on blades and I've wasted many off-the-shelf blades from Home Depot cutting that s...

I like stranded teflon. Good memory and holds up to heat well.

Re: Ampeg Heritage B-15 schematic
Shucks, thanks for the greets, fellers! Yeah, it's been a while since I've wet my iron's tip. Haven't soldered much either. :/ Regardless, I'm finally getting around to setting up a new work area. 'Tarded, I believe George did make them. I've been hesitant to ask him as I'm guessing he prolly has so...

Ampeg Heritage B-15 schematic
Anybody have a copy? I did but now I can't find the file and don't remember its source. I believe it has a switchable bias arrangement.
Please and thanks!

Re: Ventilation Advice on Small Cab 2204
Extend the existing opening to the top of the cab or simply cut off the top half off the back panel. Leave enough vinyl to properly wrap any new edges.
Or just install a fan if that's what you really want to do.

Mikey designed it...he didn't make it. Any reference to Soldano build quality is moot.
Silly question, but does the board have any obvious heat/burn spots??

Re: Ventilation Advice on Small Cab 2204
Is the amp actually suffering from issues related to heat? Cab covering doing funny stuff? Trannys dripping varnish? That's a pretty big vent on the back panel and I personally wouldn't worry about it but you could just ditch the back panel in favor of a big old piece of ventilated metal. 50W smallb...

What if vintage machines were used to make the caps? Better than caps rolled by younger hands??Cliff Schecht wrote:Because it gives you that "vintage analog sound".

Re: Anyone ordered directly from Sozo?
I wish someone would explain why a "hand-rolled" cap should offer inherently better performance than caps manufactured with precision by a machine. No sarcasm intended.
