Re: My take on an SSS
For anyone following this one who might be interested, here's a short sound clip at medium volume. This is the amp as it exists based on the layout that I updated yesterday (in the first post). Again, please excuse the poor playing and recording -- I wish that there was some easy way to capture the...

Re: Will be in Denver Tuesday through Thursday
Make sure you stop in and see Drum City GuitarLand in Wheat Ridge.
It's on the west side of Denver off I-70.
There's also Lord Valve, tube dealer, seems like an interesting character that i am going to check out next time I'm in Denver.

Re: I think a Hiwatt clone might be in my new future.
I've been in the same room as a DR103 wound up to 10 - I think I felt it rearrange my DNA. So true! I recently got a hold of a friends Hiwatt FL112 (DR103 combo) Had a blown speaker and needed two sockets and cap job. Waiting on power tubes. I will try to post some Video clips when i get her button...

Spoke with Telefunken this morning and they have EL34's available.
Guy i spoke with say's they have about 100 tubes left.
Bad news is they are $800.00 for a matched quad!

Re: Joe Bonamassa playing a dumble...
Hmm, Robbens is #102, I wonder if it was updated to Skyline spec's. Joe B.'s really starting to have a serious collection of rare amps and guitars. a 1959 Les Paul Burst, a Dumble, whats next..... Hmm the clip sounds killer though. Beth Hart is really a great singer too. Nice tribute to Etta James ...
