Re: Super Reverb Layout?
Was just on Hoffman amps website and he has a photo image of the original layout and schem. I thought it was very easy to read despite the paper he photographed was a bit wrinkled. Also, look on ebay for a for sale one with good images of the insides. Those two sources should get you there. I've red...

dvm
I recommend the not so inexpensive fluke 179. You pay for it up front but it's the last one you'll ever need. Does everything well, easy to use and read. I don't have the time to deal with inaccurate or unreliable test gear. Anyway, I've used fluke meters for 30 years and have never been disappointe...

deluxe reverb distortion
Hi all. Having a problem with a deluxe reverb clone (minus the trem). With bass turned up fairly high and say 3/4 volume or higher, I get a nasty distortion when hitting block chords with authority. It's a farting sort of distortion that lingers momentarily and then fades. Now, I have built several ...

D'lator built in hum
Finally banished the hum. Moved each ground one by one to a common star at the 12ax socket. little or no improvement until I moved the cathode resistor/bypass cap on pin 8 to the new star. The hum must have been coming through there as I had them grounded to a different point on the chassis. I never...

Re: Parallel loop - for ampgarage users only :-D
Thanks for the reply. So with the built in d'lator, the preferred method for supplying the plates of the send/return tube is to decouple from the main B+ rail with a resistor and filter, to pin 1, decouple again with resistor and filter to pin 6, and land all grounds for the circuit to say, the moun...

D'lator built in
I built the "original" serial d'lator into my 100 watt ods using the clause circuit found in the files. It works well and seems transparent as far as tone and gain are concerned but when switched in, I have a low level hum. Not awful but annoying none the less. Tried all shielded wiring with no chan...
