5E3 adventure to begin!!!!
OK- I am beginning to dig into the 5E3 circuit. I have not built one of these little darlings, BUT everyone keeps raving aboot them so why the heck NOT! I have been looking into the rob robbinette pages about mods and fun "tweak-ability" things that can be done to expand on this very favorite design...

Re: channel switching help please
yes, this is correct. I have the relay board wired up like the schematic from Doug Hoffmans page, BUT the +/- on the relay is backwards or "flipped" to the schematic and the diode direction, but i followed the board layout, and the web page wiring plan. I have a video for the relay itself showing a ...

Re: channel switching help please
well the darn relay is NOT switching at all, I have now rewired this goober so many times my head is SPINNING. so I am posting pix of the wiring setup, for a smarter mind than mine to illuminate my failure so I may learn more betterly! HA the red wire is feeding 5vDC to the relay board Pin 16. pin 1...

channel switching help please
Here is a pic of the schematic I am doing for a two channel amp. When I hard wire the each channel form the input buffer tube to the fx loop all is good each channel is wonderful! when I try to implement the relay switch(hoffamn relay board) I get a fail. the distortion channel stays on and no clean...

switch popping noise correction?
Hey there everyone! it has been quite some time since I posted on here, and I wanted to stop in with a question about switching noise. this is not about the standby popping thing that everyone has issue with. I have a NFB three way switch, and a cathode switch on V2. there is popping when I use thes...

Re: reducing the signal to the PI on a 2204
I have a switch on that to drop in another 500pF in parallel which should give me 1000pF when engaged, I also have a switch on the front end of the treble peaker 500pf/470k that switches to 1000pf/470k.

Re: reducing the signal to the PI on a 2204

Re: reducing the signal to the PI on a 2204
So, I had a few things to sort out on the tweak list here for this overly modded marshall here, and I finally got to popping the 470K between the treble and MV. this helped quite alot. what if I went to a 1M. does this effect the tone in a horrifically awful fasion? Thanks for the tweak suggestion M...

Re: reducing the signal to the PI on a 2204
no the boot strap is not what I am trying to get the map to do. I will use an example. On my 5150 and mesa dual rectifiers I am able to get more of the MV turned up before i actually get to rehearsal or live volume levels. on my awesome little 50 watt home brew marshall JCM800 crazy high gain amp I ...
