Re: caps for dumble

Thank you, Martin. The reason I thought CDE were no longer making caps is that Mouser only have about three values of the 6PS caps in their database. But it looks like CE Distribution carry the entire line. I have a vague recollection from maybe 10 years ago of reading something to the affect of the...

Re: caps for dumble

Hi Guys and Gals, Resurrecting an old thread here. These days, CE Distribution has polyester orange drop caps listed for sale. CE says the brand is Orange Drop, but the data sheet they link to is clearly Cornell Dubilier. Are these caps to be trusted? Anyone using these caps from CE care to opine? M...

Larry is one of my favorite players for the last forth-odd years. Tasteful harmony and laid-back phrasing. Oh and “tone for days” doesn’t hurt either.

Re: Digital potentiometers

In my 40-some years of working in electronics, I have made a number of attempts to learn code. Every time was a complete failure. My brain just isn't wired that way. It makes my head fell like an explosion is eminent.... :D

I have always enjoyed this forum. A little civility goes a long way; especially these days when the entire world seems to be melting down. People are doing things these days that are more despicable and/or stupid than ever before.

Do you ship out of USA? Thanks for you interest, Aurora! Yes, I ship outside the USA. I only ask that you do not place your order on the website. Rather, send me an email to Sales@LuigiRetro.com telling me your country, city, and postal code, as well as what boards(s) and quantity(s) you are intere...

Re: Coming soon: Noval socket PCB adapter

Nice work! I'm going to grab a handful to try out. Couple of questions: What is the weight of the copper laminate on your PCBs? Also,... are you committed to the dark mustard color? (Not saying there's anything wrong with that.) But I'd pay a little extra for a black solder mask (or red, or blue). ...

Re: I murdered my ICEpower module

Let that be a lesson to ya, sonny! We’re here to build TUBE amps, from input to output! 🤣 I wish I had some advice for you, though. It does seem weird that the 24V supply fuse is good, but the power supply itself seems to have died. Let us know what happened when you get it sorted out, please. Ciao,...

Re: Best clean tube amp for a pedal platform

That would be my guess, but that’s only based on what I’ve read here. You might also look to some of the Hiwatt designs as well. Again, no personal experience with them. But I’ve read they are very clean.
