Re: what a 4th grader was taught

You guys want me to nuke this thread? Heck no for reasons Miles & vibratoking have already stated. Plus Miles has had some very complimentary comments lately - glad to see you're feeling better matey! Was some rough going after dental surgery I guess but that's all settled down now. I miss your old...

Professor 'Clyde Crashcup' and his faithful assistant.....Leonardo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnheB_ETwfo umm... thanks for reminding me. I've left all the Crashcups to their own devices. You noticed who always got things fixed? Saved the day? Pulled "his nibs" bacon out of the fire? And NEVER ...

Mmm... Rare Breed. Will have to try that.

Well guys plan to knock one or more back tomorrow to end the tax year. I'll be trying on my new post-taxes spring suit too. "Hey does this barrel make my ass look big?"

Nevertheless - japanese Suntory have won the 'Whiskey of the Year' at least once... and judged by the leading whiskey experts og teh western world.... The hooch I got to try was Suntory and compared well to Sheep Dip (go ahead laugh, it's brand of Scotch, from Scotland). Maybe worthy of the "Booby ...

Re: PSA - I'm incommunicado

Lessons learned: 1. Regardless of spelling, if not brewed in Scotland or Ireland it's not what it calls itself Whisky flavored fudge? Nah, but chili spiced dark chocolate with 75% cocoa content beats peanuts anytime. Right on. I tried some so-called scotch made in Japan. Not even close, just awful,...

Re: what a 4th grader was taught

Whats funny is how the OP has stirred up all the emotions and then disappeared. Have we been trolled (with all due respect...)? It would appear so, but not such a bad thing, got a good discussion going. From now on I'm only going to reply in multicolored crayon when tsutt posts. If I have any reply...

Re: weller de-soldering tools - don't last very long

Guess we just have different luck with certain tools. Does not seem to be a right or wrong. Just whatever happens to work out for each of us..... for some reason or another. :) best Horses for courses, what they say in the UK... I say courses for horses but it means the same. As long as you're not ...

Re: Ampeg SVT or other 200-300W bass amp?

I've worked on 3 different versions of the Marshall Major. The best sounding had NO EQ. No T M B anyway... Fat channel, bright channel yes, much like all 4-input Marshalls, and Presence. That one was for Bearsville Studios @ 1991. I had to replace the OT and of course the kit of 4 KT88's. Advised th...

Re: The best value bypass cap on a champ style amp.

oh sorry. V1 cathode bypass cap on a champ Thanks for alleviating the cornfusion. Nonetheless it's a good idea to up the voltage on the output cathode bypass cap, as there's often 25V or more there even at idle. Put in a 50V rated cap & you'll have a hard time wrecking it unless your output tube go...

Re: what a 4th grader was taught

You left out the for-profit prison corporations that had the states agree to certain quotas of prisoners. Or the lobbying by the Alcohol Industry against pot legalization. Or the fact the Feds would have to shut down the DEA and its subsidies to local law enforcement. Or the corporations who's prof...

Re: what a 4th grader was taught

There's a couple guys with carry permits who have tried walking around with a NON-concealed weapon and the hassle they get is beyond belief. As they should, if that locality does not allow open carry , then the only way to to carry a handgun on your person is concealed carry, which is exactly why t...

Make it all legal then gangs won't have money. True. Remove the profit motive then they'll have to find something else to do. I'd like to try that. Remember the 2008 Prez campaign, when John McCain spoke the truth and it hung in the air for an hour or so until he realized what a Big Mistake he made...

Then there's Dr. Fang DDS, from one of the obscurer Pink Floyd album covers. I just googled Fang DDS, there's hundreds of 'em! edit: semi failed memory, upon research it was Mr. W R Phang, dental surgeon, and was part of the original cover of "A Nice Pair". Apparently Mr Phang objected "as dentists ...
