Mike: I've never had much luck recording to an iPad, but plenty of folks have. I use a Zoom H4N recorder to record everything, then I dump the tracks to my laptop for mixing. A 57 is a must-have, then you can start building from there. Good luck!

For those keeping score at home, I played this amp at church this morning. The special song was a country rock tune we re-purposed for church, and I played the Rist with no pedals. This amp has a great combination of chimey top end and, when you dig in, midrange beef. Super touch sensitive. Digging ...

Not sure of the year -- I bought this used. But I look forward to trying those settings. I like the sound of this one less than cranked, too.

That's really funny. The drums and bass are a cheap iPhone app that I (as a non-drummer) programmed.

Thanks, Darin. I record directly into a Zoom H4N, then I mix on my laptop using Audacity. Nothing fancy.
