Power section is 4xEL84, so no octals. This particular guitar has a unique voice, so it may be tough to judge features like that, particularly on a compressed internet recording.M Fowler wrote:Sounds like octal power section, no

Mark Kane Rocket -- Blues Clip with Harden Belmont
Hard to put into words how good this "Kanewreck" Rocket sounds -- but I don't have to. Check the clip below:

Re: Clips of Rocket and Express builds
Thanks, folks. Great amps and a great guitar. If they sounded bad, it would be my fault.

Clips of Rocket and Express builds
Folks -- I recently had the opportunity to demo a Red Rocket Guitars RocketMaster, and I made the videos below with a couple of TW builds I have. The first is a Mark Kane Rocket-style build; the second is a Francesca clone from our very own Fusionbear. Both are great sounding amps. See below: First ...

Re: Mark Kane Rocket-style amp: Clip
Mike: I've never had much luck recording to an iPad, but plenty of folks have. I use a Zoom H4N recorder to record everything, then I dump the tracks to my laptop for mixing. A 57 is a must-have, then you can start building from there. Good luck!

Thanks, brother. The Port City is loaded with a WGS Invader, which is something like a 50-watt Greenback.

You are very kind. I am an amateur in the truest sense -- I play because I love it. Great distraction from the day job (the job that pays for these toys!)

Re: Mark Kane Rocket-style amp: Clip
Thanks, Mike. It is a great amp. I'm enjoying it a lot. As good as it sounds fired up, it's cleans are just spectacular.
Here's another video I did with it.

Re: Mark Kane Rocket-style amp: Clip
For those keeping score at home, I played this amp at church this morning. The special song was a country rock tune we re-purposed for church, and I played the Rist with no pedals. This amp has a great combination of chimey top end and, when you dig in, midrange beef. Super touch sensitive. Digging ...

Not sure of the year -- I bought this used. But I look forward to trying those settings. I like the sound of this one less than cranked, too.

That's really funny. The drums and bass are a cheap iPhone app that I (as a non-drummer) programmed.xtian wrote:Guitars sounds GREAT!
Drums sound like POO.
I take it back about the drums if that was you playing.
The guitars are all me. Glad you like them.

Thanks, Darin. I record directly into a Zoom H4N, then I mix on my laptop using Audacity. Nothing fancy.dcribbs1412 wrote:Congrats on your amp GEN DAWG
