Re: Just for fun: Attempt at #40 schematic...

Brandon, chill ;) :) Kitty Hawk built an amp called Kitty Hawk Standard,it was pretty much exactly based on the mid late 70s era amps with this early Dumble PI this was way back in the late 70s-early 80s (I worked on a few of those early ones both the Real Mccoy and the Kittys ) btw Gregor Hilden us...

Teflon and Parrots - no good combination

just a little warning for you Teflon lovers, beware if you have a Parrot as a family member , heating teflon with high temperatures produces gases that can kill your parrot ! these birds are very sensitive to teflon gases for some reason , I am not kidding ! thats why you never can use teflon covere...

Re: want to build an ODS clone with true SRV sound, need advice

I could only find one pic and it looks like an ODS clone. Re: Alexander and me...

I am kind of surprised that a few D style Pro builders maybe not realizing that without the major interest for Dumbles amps they would most likely not be doing what they are doing today ( me included ) getting succses and the attention for building great sounding amps etc , I mean many might of cour...

Re: Is a 100w marshall plexi replacement OT good for a clone?

yes, great if you build a el34 amp,

it would work with 6l6 but you would preferably want a little higher pri-imp if 6l6 is used, that is if you want to use the correct output impedances to match the speaker

Re: Anyone ever try a jtm45 replica OT in an express?

Roe 6K6 would obviously have to work since a lot of express trannies use 6K6 primaries, my question was leaning more towards the results and not particularly if it would work, I'm sure it works, I was just curious if any one had tried it... I have heard of other people having to go through long del...

Re: Is a dumbleland a bass amp?

I noticed an interview done with dumble where he says that SRV used Jackson Browne's bass amp on an album and then dumble made a bass amp with attention paid to the mids, and that was the SSS that SRV had. Are these bass amps? how would you mod for bass? could a HRM be made bassy? Indeed, SRV did u...

Re: does anyone know what an Odysey amp is worth?

Take the name Dumble off this amp, you would be lucky to get $300 Bucks for it. well of course ,, Isnt that so for every brandname amp ?? but now it is a old Dumble,,, and they are worth loads of money simple as that just like a -59 Gibson les paul is not a brand new cheap Ephiphone that does fairl...

Re: Dumble vs Bruno

I would rather whine over a PCB amp produced in fairly large numbers for 3-4k than a hand wired amp for 5-6k especially if it sounds great, I have been repairing amps for number of years and hate working on PCB amps as much now as I did in the beginning, especially backsatge on the road, usually a ...

People People, Pleeease stop whining about prices on others products, the way its done here and now really puts me off ! its up to every man to set his price on their work IMO, especially if you have a Brand name and people who like what they hear, who actually really cared other than service techs ...
