Hi xtianxtian wrote:Yes, no problem, as long as it's rated ~35v or better.
Thank you, I will give it a try!

Electrolyt / Dielectric capasitors
Hi.
Is it ok to use a polyeter film cap. as catode bypass cap. ?? Or are the electrolytic ones the best obtion??

Thats right, and I also have a Clean/OD switch.M Fowler wrote:The Dumble Overdrive Reverb doesn't have PAB it has bright, deep & Rock/Jazz.

Re: Funktion of the Rock/Jazz switch ?
No. The R/J switch changes the risistor/capacitor network of the tonestack. The effect is a more hifi balanced sound and a significant loss of volume when the jazz mode is engaged. The switch (relay) that bypasses the tonestack is called "preamp boost" (PAB) and it is omited in your schematic. Lars...

Funktion of the Rock/Jazz switch ?
Hi!
Do I understand this right, that the Rock/Jazz switch when in Rock position will bypass the tonestack ??
Schematic "The Amp Garage OVERDRIVE REVERB SPECIAL #13"
And it is the same on other ODS schematics.
Cheers

Did you take your bias from the HT tap or from the bias tap on the power transformer? It should come from one leg of the HT. I couldn't tell from the pics. Cool amp. Clean up the bare copper wire, but otherwise looks like a fun build. I like the boards with the pics. Thanks fore your support! All o...

Here is some pic`s.
[quote="mhartman"]Can you post the schematic and a pic of your build. Thx.
I`m not shure you can see the problem on thr pics. But you probaly see that I (partly) used your layout.

SSS - Help
Hi I need help with a SSS build. I`m building using the "nr.2 schematic" My problem is the bias voltage, I have apx. -63V at biaspoint, then -36v on the other end of the 220Kresistors. This end of the resistors are connected to the 1,5K gridstoppers on the 6L6 tubes and pin 3+8 on the tube after the...

The 470K resistors on the octal sockets
Here's a gut shot as promised. Changed some values in the voltage rail to get closer to the voltages on the schematic. The transformer in the schematic shows 565vac where mine is 660vac, so my 6l6's are running a bit higher. But the rest of the voltages are pretty close to the rest of the schematic...

SSS_schematic_2, Anode voltage PI /CF "HELP!"
According to schematic SSS_2, the anode voltage (E) on the 12AX7 tube V7 (PI/CF) will be apx. 450V, this is 50% over the tube design voltage. Is that OK???
It works! but can the tube handle this over time??
Can somone with experience answer this??

Re: Bias cirquit
That's it! Thank you gay`s. It`s nice to have a forum like this ! That solved my problem, I can now regulate from -48V > -56V, I had installed a 10K pot and connected that in serie with a 68K resistor. 22K-pot with 56K resister would probably have giver a wider regulating range, but now I can start...

Re: Bias cirquit
A FW bridge doesn't have any negative voltage swing (to speak of), so you need to capacitively couple the bias circuit. Connect to the HT with a 47-100n cap followed immediately by a resistor to ground, 56-100k say, then the reversed diode for the bias supply. if I understand that correctly: From o...
