I stalled VVR on my 5E3. Amazing! However, I'm getting scratchy pots now. Could you guys help me out and let me know how to wire up the .1uf caps and 1m resistors? Also, how the jacks should be wired without the 1m resistors on them. I've seen a photo or two of this, but it's hard to tell in the pho...

So I'm planning on trying out a VVR in my 5E3.

It calls for a 12v diode. But the highest value I have on hand is a 9.1v (1N4739). Would it be okay to use this 9.1v in place of the 12v?

Thanks for all of the great info here. I plan on building this thing. However, I'd like a smaller version similar to the Brake Lite. Can I build this exact layout but use two 50w 250 ohm resistors? Perhaps just two of these in place of the 100w resistors: http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdeta...
