Re: 421H Altec

I was aware of the 50% drop in power handling. Most of the time I run a 5 or 10 watt amp. not an issue.

I found the spec sheet on the Lansing Heritage site…and saw that HF spike caused by the dust cap. very wild!

something for the old hams

I took an old Hallicrafter's R-46 speaker cab...added extensive resonance killing bracing and a new baffle with 2- RCA Alnico 6x9"

works! fine for guitar...running 5W at 4ohms. sounds pretty 'ballsy'

thinking about adding another pair...rear firing. or maybe an 8" sub.

Re: Micro Amp Head thoughts . . . .

Well you don't have to put it on the floor. :D That is a pretty full featured stomp amp. I use a roll around computer desk for my rig. ANY PHOTOS :?: Do your roadies test drive the desk? more of a cart than desk… the front end of the rig fits into a laptop bag. roadies?!?!  ...

Thinkin about a stepped attenuator box too. Dime the input pot (or bypass)

and have repeatable settings on the input level.

12ay7 in V1???

I am going to try a pair in V1 position on dual Epi Valve juniors.

Fairly hot signal (-10 padded down about 5Db) or out of a MXR Dual limiter
(poor man's 1176)

or should I add a line in to the juniors????

Nice "Pack" Tom! we are close to breaking records here for cold. -3 right now. As for snow…in the top ten historically. I even caught a case of 'walking pneumonia.' A side effect of the radiation side effects. We have added another English Shepherd Rescue to our pack. That make three. The dogs are k...
