Re: Top 100 things to do if you dislocate a shoulder
Can we also make a list for what to do if you rupture a distal bicep tendon? IMG_1088.JPG Dude. Do you have a warning tale to tell? Be careful with sudden static loading with your arms extended (especially when you are pushing 60 years young). I tried to "muscle" my riding mower in order to push it...

Re: Old School Brandon Style Dumbleator Build (x2)
Thanks guys. BarryW, I used a Heyboer PT-135 HTS-8883 power transformer. It is the same transformer that Brandon was selling a long time ago. There is nothing really proprietary about it, so they made me one and if anybody wants one, they can order using those numbers. Thanks Erwin ve, I thought ab...

Marcus,
I'll be anxious to hear how your build turns out as I proceed with the
similar/same 2nd generation choice for the Fender HRD conversion.

Re: Bluesmaster 50 - heretical build & awesome sound
Looks like something Henry Heistand of Red Plate Amps would do; lots of amp in a small package.
Excellent work - very nice look build.

Re: Fender HRD Conversion to 2nd Generation
Any advice on what to do with the reverb tank?
Is there a tube circuit that can drive that 600 ohm input?
Sure would hate to have to use an IC...

Fender HRD Conversion to 2nd Generation (Hybrid)
Gutted my old (from 1995) Fender HRD and have begun the process to convert it to a 2nd Generation D-Style amp.
Fabricated some tube socket holders for the pre-amp tubes and made the board set.

Re: HRM needs some Lovin'
The on-board 250K trimmer seems as if it is a mistake and probably should be removed when/if using a pot mounted on the rear panel.
EDIT: I see the mistake now; the latest layout has a 250K pot on the back panel instead of 25K.

Re: Why not switch OD & PAB at once?
I've experimented with several variations of PAB show here on TAG:
1. change resistors to 4M7
2. change resistors to 10M
3. add hi-pass filter shunt
and, ultimately returned to the original 22M.
I think PAB behavior largely depends on the tuning of the amp and type of pickups.
My 2p.

Re: First build: Small Special
Switching high-voltage DC is surely going to make that switch arc.
What happens if the bias side of the high-voltage switch fails?
Will the output tubes red-plate because of no bias voltage?

Re: Which ODS-style schematic to build?
I saved this from someone else's post some time ago. Some descriptions that may help you decide for your self: Non Hrm classiq EQ is the oldest style of dumble amp. A bit more rooted in the raw fenderish tone. This is the amp that made his reputation. This would be like early Lindley, Browne, Lowel...
