Re: AX84 comming to an end, TAG needs fixing real bad
I know a guy that can hack the database password if that's the only thing holding up recreating this site. It's legit, as long as we have permission from the owner. Unfortunately it may come down to someone building a new site with the archives from this one as a starting base. To have it on the "ba...

Re: Log out!
The sad part about this is the database CAN be unlocked, although one might have to pay a few bucks for the program to do it. Once it is it can be dissected and imported into a new one by someone that knows how to manipulate databases. There's no reason for this site to be in this bad of shape. None.

Re: From Tesla to Black Holes
Once you take those sunbeams into your solar panels they're not free nor renewable and after that energy is consumed they're gone forever. At least that's what the interwebs say.

Re: Seven Months On the Attack List
Whatever the system Allyn put in place may be stopping future attacks but isn't helping the Google situation any. I just ignore it but I'm sure it's keeping new people and probably some gun-shy members away.

Re: SE EL34 Plexi-verb
I'm curious about putting the tone stack right before the EL34, what was your inspiration for doing that?

I want the next one I get to be a Ruger SR-9. I have a Kel-Tec 9mm that's carry size (very small) but I love the feel and balance of the Ruger.

Re: Resistor Size Deceiving
I get all of my resistors from DigiKey. I had some 2w resistors come in looking like 1/2w so I contacted them and spoke to their tech dept. They said the rating is true (on mine) and the size in this case isn't the important part. I'll use them in some of my projects first before I put them in custo...

It's funny how we can have different experiences with the same brand tubes, isn't it?

Re: CP Tube Help, Please?
I found a bunch of NOS mid-60s RCA black and silver plate 12AX7s and 5751s at a ham fest. Look and see if there is going to be one nearby you in the near future.
Otherwise, I bought a bunch of Shuguang 12AX7s and most of them sounded decent.

Re: Snow, sleet, freezing rain...
Funny but true story. I went to Canada in September for work training and on the way back through customs, the American side border patrol pulled me over and had me park my car off to the side with four or five other cars. We were told to shut the car off, roll the windows up and step back about ten...

Aaaaaaaaaand more is on the way. I am where the indicator shows, right on the line of snow, rain and ice. The warning runs through around 7pm tomorrow night.
Full gas can, generator, food & water, wood for the fireplace. Should be ok for a day or two if we lose power. More wood on the way Monday.

Re: Guitar Gallery Thread! Post 'em up!
Here's a few I built many years ago. The bass has a Peavey fretless neck, the other two bodies are sporting a Carvin neck. I still have the bodies but sold the necks a long time ago. The design is my own and the only problem being I couldn't find a case to fit them. The pics are bad, the necks are a...

Re: Tele pickups?
My Foto-Flame Tele has Texas Specials in it. When I bought it it had the stock 3-pickup setup but didn't sound all that great. These woke it up big-time and it sounds exceptional now.
