Re: i hate life

Sorry for your loss, I had to put mine down a few weeks back because his body just couldn't take his age anymore. There is a point where their quality of life is more important than our love for them, and it's because of that love that we do the humane thing. Mine lived 17 years and used every one o...

Re: Again - please, web master, fix the attack site stuff

I just logged in and still get the warning. I also PM'd Allynmey a few days ago and haven't heard back yet. I don't expect to, but I offered my help as well if he wanted it.

We'll see.

Re: Premium cigars

Guitarzan, I've had Macanudo and several Cuban seed varieties from central America and was underwhelmed. Which domestics would you recommend? Thanz, cvk It's going to depend on your taste profile. If you like one type, you'll go for Punch, RyJ, El Rey del Mundo, Sancho Panza, Macanudo or others sol...

Re: Premium cigars

That's what I don't understand, I've had several Cubans over the last ten years and with only a couple of exceptions, there are "domestic" cigars that are far better. They have a superior blend and most of the experienced rollers are from Cuba so they know what they're doing. I had a couple of Cuban...

Re: stumped with this amp problem

We've all been there, done that. At least you found the problem, and this place is full of guys that act as a second, third or fourth set of "eyes" which helps tremendously.

Premium cigars

Anyone else love a good cigar? My favorites are Perdomo, Flor de Oliva and pretty much anything by AJ Fernandez.

When I started about ten years ago I liked the El Rey del Mundo, Punch and Hoyo but General Cigars pretty much ruined them for me when they bought several lines.

Re: red plating on a fender blues junior

I fixed one of those recently and changed R31 from 22K to 33K and it dropped the bias voltage enough to stop the redplating. They're biased very hot from the factory. Also check the cement resistors, they have a tendency to heat up the solder joints and create bad connections.

Would you please teach everyone else that takes photos of their projects how to take large, clear photos? I LOVE your pic, when it's expanded it's crystal-clear and very easy to look at.

Re: Again - please, web master, fix the attack site stuff

Unfortunately it says something about the people hosting this site and it's not good. I have no issue with the site moderators, but I've run sites on and off for the last twenty years and would NEVER let a situation like this continue to fester and drive away current and potential members. The tube ...
