On the schematic shown for the solow watt 12av7 amp the first pre amp tube is connected to the same B+243v node as the power tubes; is this correct?
Thanks!

SoLow Watt ECL84 Power Trans. Change
10thtx yes I was refering to the ECL84 tubes. So, I should adjust the power string resistors to maintain the same voltages on the tubes as for the 196-0-196 volt trans. as for the 250-0-250 volt tube rectified trans.; correct!? Are you still going with the 16k load from the pentodes into the output ...

SoLow Watt Transformer Change
10thTx; I really like the sound clips of the amps you've posted, the solowatt clip was the stuff! You recommended a 250-0-250 transformer change with 5y3 rectifier. Would you use the same power rail as you posted for the ecl86 version? What voltages would you like to see on the power amp and pre amp ...

PIO caps in SFPR
I've used the Russian PIO caps to couple the Pi to the power tubes on my Pro Reverb and used PIO's in my PRII amp and can find no negatives with using these caps; go for it!

Creating two channels from one.
Unless you have modified you amp already; the schematic shows the two halves of the first tube as not being inter-connected. As you have pointed out, the Hi & Low inputs have different gain structure. 10th TX suggested an AB switch to select between the clean low input and the driven high input. If ...

Re: Voltage doubler? Unknown PT ratings.
Phil, I must be missing something here! How did you arrive at 425vac in your last post? If you have 200vac times 1.4 you wind up with 280volts.
