Well my bad. I did some tube swapping and rechecked the bias. Also, I did not have a knob on the pot so I think I was really turning it down more than I thought. Below 11 o'clock is when it starts misbehavin. It does get darker, but I think the 6v6's have alot to do with that too. It seems to be wo...

Simply: The VVR is superior to Power Scaling. My one and only experience with power scaling was that the more it was engaged the more transistor sounding the amp became. I'd show it to you if I could see it myself :lol: It's currently buried under boxes of speakers, tubes, and transformers, plus a whole mess of other whatnot.
