Re: Friedman Naked Amp schematic?
The Naked MK1 amp is different from the long form schematic posted here. I'm assuming that is a schematic of a variant of the OD channel that someone made up. These are the specs you need to change for MK1. Power filtering: C1 & C22 16uF 500v Preamp: Add .01uF from ground of input to chassis Delete...

Re: Friedman Naked Amp schematic?
Thanks for the information. I have seen a few different versions of the Friedman Naked amp. I'm sure he has implemented the split-anode designed as well as separate clean channel with volume, bass, and treble with a bright switch. Do you have any schematic examples of a split-anode arrangement? I un...

Re: Friedman Naked Amp schematic?
I’m looking at this schematic and I don’t see where the clean channel portion is. Am I missing something?

Re: Kingsley Harlot v2 schematic
I did find some more information regarding the power supply.
The high voltage power supply is a typical "nixie" supply using NE555 to switch an IRF740 with a 100uH inductor. The raw HV coming off the power supply is 237V. Unsure of the part number, but he uses an LDO for the tube filament.

Re: Kingsley Harlot v2 schematic
Also, I believe this would work for making a Kingsley Page. It just wouldn't have the jfet. The Minstrel would also be similar but with treble, middle, and bass controls.

Kingsley Harlot v2 schematic
Not sure if I am in the right place for this, but I wanted to contribute to the community since you all have been helpful to me in the past. A friend of mine traced my Harlot V2 so that he could make a clone of it. Kingsley Harlot schemtic.jpg He did change some of the specs. The original has 630V p...

Re: Tube power amp with reactive load/attenuator
Yes, I am! My OP was about just the power amp section (phase inverter>power tubes) with a reactive loadbox and attenuation built in

Re: Tube power amp with reactive load/attenuator
Gotcha. So, no one has ever built an amp or just a power amp with a reactive load?

Tube power amp with reactive load/attenuator
So, I have been thinking about this for a while. I have seen quite a few amp companies add built in load boxes to their amps. Currently, my pedalboard has a tube preamp pedal that runs into an IR loader that also has power amp simulation. It sounds pretty good, but I do miss playing through a real c...

Re: Stand-alone tube preamps
I have a schematic of the Orange RV preamp. He separated the preamp/power/switches.
Hopefully it posts in here.

Re: Stand-alone tube preamps
Sorry, I don’t have any schematics. As far as I know, he follows the schematic from the amp. He uses the power supplies that allow it to be powered by 9 volts. I can’t remember what they’re called but the tube itself is running at high voltage. I did mention the cathode follower. He said a few of hi...
