I am sure people will want them and buy them just because of the name.
No indication in the description that they are made in the US any more.

As the Capacitor Turns
One of These Things IS Like the Other...
Several well-respected amp builders turned me on to these Synergy Royal Mustards that I now carry at ValveStorm.com.
Anyone want to hazard a guess as to why they look so similar to another well known cap that has not been available for some time?

Re: 183 Voltages Off a Bit
Here is the voltage chart with all 4 EL34s installed.
The s/b above stands for "should be" based on the voltages shown on the 183 layout.
Thanks for your help!

Re: 183 Voltages Off a Bit
Thanks you guys so much! Yep, I had grounded the OD input eyelet next to where the v1 ground should have been connected! Doh! Things are much better now... squeal seems to be gone. Yes, running EL34s... I only have 2of 4 in there now. Voltages now: B+ - 459v B+3 - 432v B+4 - 312v B+5 - 304v v3 pin1 ...

Re: 183 Voltages Off a Bit
The clean mode squealing gets worse when I engage the PAB relay. The 3 switches on the front have an effect along with the volume level. I did the jumper on the Rock/Jazz switch different than the layout to agree with one of the schematics. I also made PAB relay board adjustments to accommodate the ...

183 Voltages Off a Bit
New 183 build seems OK in OD mode, but has squealing in clean mode
Voltages seem a bit off from the layout on v1 and v2
v3 pin1 - 282v (s/b 302v)
v3 pin6 - 288v (s/b 307v)
v2 pin1 - 185v (s/b 207v)
v2 pin6 - 111v (s/b 204v)
v1 pin1 - 281v (s/b 206v)
v1 pin6 - 263v (s/b 207v)

5 Pin DIN Connector to mate with P-H473 footswitch?
Does any one have a part number for a 5 Pin DIN Connector to mate with the tubesandmore.com P-H473 footswitch? https://www.cedist.com/products/P-H473 EDIT: After more searching and looking at the mouser catalog page looks like the one mentioned in this thread should be correct as it looks like my pl...

Re: JTM-45 build help
Interesting! Given that they amp worked for several minutes, do you guys think the mis-wired OT (and impedance settings) could have caused the tube short? Got it working tonight! I contacted Heyboer asking about the possibility of OT damage, and they informed me today that the wiring diagram I was s...

Re: JTM45 Build
This is starting to remind me of a thread on the Tube Guitar Amp Builders facebook page where an experienced tech was chasing weirdness... it ended up being the choke! Look for "just don't play an F#".

Re: Need some guidance... looking to do Two D-style builds
I am still here. I have the CE chassis and the BrownNote BM chassis. I think the recommendations so far are to build the BN/BM out as a later HRM style and to do an earlier version with the CE chassis. I have started with the CE and am still looking for recommendations as to where to take it. I have...

Re: Need some guidance... looking to do Two D-style builds
Thank you all for the welcome and feedback! I am moving slowly with these builds, so I am open to suggestions! So... should I proceed with the following as a 183 style build: CE chassis AGB boards PT:MOJO763 and OT:CT 40-18026 AND do some thing different with these parts? BN BlueMonkey chassis & Boa...

Need some guidance... looking to do Two D-style builds
Hi everybody! Some of you might know me from the MetroAmp/Marshall world. For years I have been lurking about wanting to build a D-style amp. Years ago I started visiting the BrownNote site looking at some of the kits there. I finally pulled the trigger and bought a HRM chassis, some boards, and som...
