That's a good question...
Here's the data sheet from Mouser:
http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/427/sseries-239781.pdf
Although after looking it over, I still wasn't able to figure it out but maybe you'll be able to decipher it better than I did.

Re: Tone stack question.
The more I learn about amp building, the more frequently I seem to find myself in similar situations. If you haven't read this already, I think this article provides a simple explanation and really helped my initial understanding of the tonestack and it's basic functions. http://pickroar.com/1003/th...

Re: Disc Cap Question
I don't claim to be an expert on the topic, but I've been using C0G/NP0 and X5F ceramic disks from Mouser in my dumble-type circuits with positive results, usually dependent on which one's available in the necessary values. I also remember seeing the X5F's recommended over in the Dumble Discussions ...

Re: Strat player looking for a humbucking guitar
I agree, if you can find one those 90's Hamers are a great bang for the buck.
gui_tarzan, I've also seen many friends have similar experiences with various squire models, it seems to really be the luck of the draw with budget QC.

Re: Question about PAB and OD Switches
Thanks!
Thats what I was assuming, but couldn't find confirmation.
Just out of curiosity, was your build based on an ODS that originally had these caps?

Question about PAB and OD Switches
Hey all, Looking over some of the various layouts again has got me wondering again. So I know that the OD and PAB switches on the back panel of many ODS's have a few variations in their wiring, so I was wondering what purpose the .1uf 100v caps on #124 serve and why they weren't featured on many of ...

Re: Need help finding aluminum trim
I feel pretty comfortable trusting your judgement, as I think your work speaks for itself. (Seeing as I actually learned many of the tips and tricks that I used to cover this cabinet from your contributions here.) But from my admittedly less knowledgeable perspective, the trim used on your amps seem...

Re: Need help finding aluminum trim
I checked Lowes website but I might have just missed it so I'll give it another look, and I'm pretty sure there's a farm supply store nearby so maybe I'll check there.
I only need about 19.5".

Re: Strat player looking for a humbucking guitar
vibratoking your right, I've found that my late night typing can quickly become incoherent... norburybrook, I think I've narrowed it down to something Gibson or similar. I actually also had a little 59 in the bridge of my tele for a bit but it always seemed a bit dull, but I later gave it to a frien...

Need help finding aluminum trim
Although I know this topic has been discussed, I think I might be the only person who doesn't seem to have a Lowe's nearby and the Home Depot near me doesn't seem to stock the same aluminum trim.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find a similar solution?

Re: Strat player looking for a humbucking guitar
I can definitely understand the love for historic and VOS Gibsons, having loathed after many myself. On the other hand, I wouldn't consider the studio to be a POS and I can't agree with the assertion that replacing pickups "little or no return on tone". While I understand the cynicism towards the "m...

Re: Strat player looking for a humbucking guitar
Thanks for all the suggestions, the Japanese route sounds tempting being that I love my mid-eighties MIJ tele and I appreciate the info on the epiphone models, I'll definitely keep my eye out for those. I had also totally forgotten about Heritage guitars, a couple of years ago I had a chance to play...

Re: Where to buy components
If you look hard enough you can find most of the necessary parts on Mouser once you learn how to maneuver around the site. For the things that can't be found on Mouser, I believe the consensus is AES for 6PS Orange Drops, Hoffman or McMaster Carr for G10 boards, and ApexJr for teflon wire. Though, i...

Strat player looking for a humbucking guitar
For years it seems I've always been primarily a strat player, though I've always enjoy a good telecaster as well. But recently I've been feeling like I could benefit from a different sound perspective on my builds. I would love to be able to pick up a quality Gibson Les Paul, SG, or 335, but since I...

Re: Best Solder Spool Ever!
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Empty prescription bottles, tic-tac containers, even those kester pocket pack solder tubes. I also started keeping guitar picks in an empty cigarette pack in my jacket just in case. As far as spools go, I bought a bag of 2.5" spools in an attempt to get all of my wire org...
