Re: i hate life

Tom,

We have a boy cat (Indiana) who loves to lay in the sink like that. Great picture.

Edit: I found a picture of Indiana sleeping inside my son's gig bag.

Re: i hate life

While growing up I never was a cat person. Just never thought much of them. When I got married my wife talked me into getting a cat. Now I live with 5 and couldn't imagine being without them. Each has their own personality. Even the two sister kittens we just got are very different from each other. ...

Re: What could this be?

Can't really tell if it is big enough, but my guess would be some kind of guitar (or other instrument) wall hanger. Maybe it got separated from the rest of the assembly?

Either that or an alien anal probe. (The UFO kind of alien)

Re: RIP Gary Richrath - REO

I grew up listening to REO and always loved their songs. I loved his playing and his tone.

RIP Gary.

Re: Blown screen resistors and more

A carbon track along the wiring side of the socket or the tube side? Is there any way I can still use the sockets after cleaning them? This is an image from a Mesa Boogie I bought that had several issues. One of which was very loose output tube sockets. This thing had been arcing for some time. IMH...

I was going to ask the same thing. They look like something you'd put in a smore.

Re: Schematic & Layout Drawing?

I've been watching this one with some interest, not in the product(s) but for what is said. First let me say, there is everything right about asking the question. The research has to start somewhere. The OP says, basically, price is not an object (within reason). He wants first rate functionality. ...

Re: Switchcraft type 226 plug mystery

When you tested continuity did you test to see if the tip was shorted with the ground side of the plug? Only thing I can think of is that there is an internal short in the plug.

Re: White Taurus tolex?

Does anybody know where to get this stuff? I know some amp companies/builders have it as an option, but the places I've found that just sell tolex don't seem to offer taurus in white. Mojotone carries this: http://www.mojotone.com/amp-parts/tolex-tweed-color-white/British-Style-White-Elephant-Tolex...

Re: Where are the amp builds?

Well, I'm pretty new here and have mostly been trying to soak up some of the vast knowledge you all have. Been on vacation the past week, trying to get away from the 60-90% humidity and 80-100 degree heat that we have here in Houston. Mornings have been around 80 degrees with ~90% humidity. My car i...

It's from the link he put up there. [EDIT: He beat me to it :) ]

I was just looking at that mod yesterday and I'm planning to do that to the 5e3 I just finished.

Re: New Used Car

Then there is the CVT that seems to be the way car mfrs are going. I'm opposed to them, but to be honest I haven't ridden in or driven a CVT car yet. We rented a Nissan Altima in Colorado a couple of years ago and it had a cvt. It sounded like it had seen better days. It whined pretty loudly. But I...

Re: New Used Car

Just a disclaimer, I've never had an automatic equipped VW. In my opinion these are drivers cars and all drivers cars should have a manual gearbox. JMO I agree, however the boss (my wife) wanted an automatic. It's her car and she does love it. I didn't do adequate homework before buying the car. Se...
