Just to elaborate. The detail that I'm most concerned about it the clearance between the chassis and the speaker frame. Apparently it was even an issue on the originals. And seeing as how my cabinet and chassis are both based of measurements from original examples...........

Yup, I'm going to put together a drawing of the cab with dimensions for building. As well as the chassis dimensions. I'm just starting the actual build so I'm still working out the details myself. I'll post all the details before the treads done.

Here is a PDF that is to scale. Take this over to a Kinko's or some place like that and have them print it to scale. The ring outside the speaker cutout it 15". You can use that for scale.

I kind of cheated. My day job is programming and operating a CNC for a custom cabinet shop. I cut the baffle out the end of the day Friday.

Well, it is but the BBQ version and the Jensen version are within a few buck of each other.

I guess what it boils down to is I've used many BBQ speakers (and liked them)but have not tried any of the reissue Jensens.

Just looking for anyone that has some experience with the new C15N's.

So no objections to my choice of iron. How about the speaker? Any have anything against the reissue Jensen C15N? I usually use webers but thought I would try something different. I've found a few reviews of the C15N but not enough to make me sure it's a decent speaker. What do you guys think, Webers...

How about some thoughts on transformers? Mercury Magnetics makes a set for the Thunderbolt but they are $290 w/o a 5v tap and $340 w/ the tap. I have also thought about using a generic set of Fender style 2 6l6 transformers. I don't believe the PT would an issue but not knowing the specifics of the ...
