Wow, lots of latter-day TW experts on here these days! I don't seem to remember you guys being around when all of this info was being unearthed by guys like Allyn, Plexi, Billy and a host of others...

Re: Trainwreck Anna Real or Clone?
Absolutely a clone. Those wooden, lazer-cut logos were made by TAG member Lonely Raven in Illinois. A real TW would have a black & white plastic, flat logo.

Re: Billy Zoom trashing Dumbles
late to the show but I swore I read an interview where ha said he built his stage amps himself. I seems like I might be recalling correctly based on the later posts. I swore it was in Guitar Player... Billy has built his own amps since back in the early X days. I wonder if his comment may have more...

Re: New Build - Z Wreck Style
That's an interesting breakdown Mike, thanks for the insight! I think a lot of people have no clue about the extra costs of owning and operating a business outside of just making your product. I still haven't had a chance to fire up a Z-Wreck, I can't wait to try one. And nice work Steve! Thanks aga...

Re: new source for Trainwreck head cabs
My point is just that this guy seems to be doing great work at a great price point. Don't miss out just because you think pine is soft and wouldn't hold up as well as cherry. For the majority of the gigs that we all play there wouldn't be much difference.

Re: new source for Trainwreck head cabs
Tell that to Leo Fender. All of the tweed cabs were pine. I have a real '59 Bassman that hasn't had tweed on it for 35 years. It was rubbed with tung oil and has held up fine on the road---it's been gigged hard and still is great. Pine is absolutely fine to use.analog_stud wrote:Pine isn't road-worthy

Re: The F Word
The F word didn't bother nearly as much as the fact the Foo Fighters were standing on the same stage as Page and Jones. The FFs should have been embarassed. I am embarassed for them. As a long-time Zep fan I agree with you, Pagey & Jonesy are getting a little long in the tooth! :) The Foos on the o...

Re: Rick Nielsen Playing Fuchs?
I hung out at their soundcheck here in Columbus last summer when they were playing with Squeeze. Rick said he was loving the Fuchs and he made it sound pretty darn great I must say! It really worked great for the CT sound.

Re: Trainwreck.com change
over on TGP he mentions ...i have two heritage marshall handwired g12h-30 55hz cabs,. What are handwired cabs? Opposed to what other kind of wired cabs. Maybe I am a little slow here. Uhhh, I took that to mean that he has two of the 2x12 cabs that came with the Marshall "hand-wired" 2061 heads. Tho...

Re: Trainwreck.com change
If JM uses all original NOS parts it would be worth $5K, I'm about $3,800 deep in parts for an original francesca build, add labor and that would be about right. To be fair though I've spent a lot in bulk parts lots that I only needed one piece and had to pay shipping. If it was only actual TW part...
