Re: Bias circuit help

Yes sorry its the 180K resistor. and yes the bias voltage across the bias resistor - I replaced the 180K to a 220K and got 6.8mV on one side and 17mV on the other. I cannot get current to equalize on both sides. My understanding is that this is because there is too much negative voltage thus raising...

Bias circuit help

Can someone help me with this bias circuit. I get about 14mV DC with the bias knob completely in one direction and only 5 mV DC in the other direction. I have changed out the 150K resitor to 470k to get this sweep. I need a greater sweep with this circuit. Should I still increase the "150K" resistor...

Re: Switchable Volume and MV

How about something like this. Not sure how it works. I know it the amp the footswitch cuts the signal. I don't understand JFETs but I presume they slowly make the connection of the resistor to ground. I would love someone to explain how the JFET works in this circuit

Switchable Volume and MV

Anybody done a switchable Volume and MV for Liverpool? Any thoughts on the best way to wire this option. I know turning down the guitar volume cleans up the sound but a switchable option would give a clean with dynamic headroom.

Thanks

Re: Pre-Express build questions...

As for chassis they are not going to affect the sound per say. An open chassis does give advantages of separating components. More cooling less crowding are important but there are diminishing returns. Therefore there is an adage of open spacing open sound. As for transformers I have used Classic To...
