Sorry for not posting in a long while, and... it may continue
I've found myself not coming to keep up with the inundation of new account requests over busy weekends etc, and then finding myself avoiding coming because the number of new account requests is becoming too much of a royal PITA. I can't just turn it on auto or we get too many spammers. the auto tool...

Re: Technical discussion forum down
Yeah usually it's just chrome sucking a lot. I hate how badly it poisons it's own cache. I used it all day every day for work and find all kinds of times when I go "wait why is that service/site down, lets try another browser, oh nope it's fine, it's chrome again"

Re: Paging RG Keen/UL700 pcb/wiring question.
Dennis,
R.G. may likely respond better here, I don't know how well he'll respond to email, but usually within a day or two max he chimes in regularly here.
Sadly I can't help much

Re: SSS #002 REDRAW DRAFT
Here's an updated version with the above considered: SSS #002 V3 DRAFT.pdf It is often good to either add new attachments to the first post OR delete the old and replace the new in the first post so later when people come back, they get the 'latest and greatest' instead of battling what you're ment...

Re: Class D schematic and PCB
Well first off it didn't work... I tried building it in a more tube amp friendly way on a piece of garolite and it immediately smoked the chip. I went to a class-d specific subforum of I think diyaudio.com and was castigated as a heathen. Sounds like for Class D in these setups you need to do it on ...

Re: Modifying a bias circuit to work with no PT center tap
So I took a Pro Junior and rebuilt it using Rob Robinette’s AB763 Blackvibe and upon start up I’m not getting any negative bias voltage. I am using the stock transformers of the Pro Junior there is no PT center tap. Use Rob's fancy bias circuit, you cannot do. 🤣 Sluckey's become YODA! :) ...

Re: Thinking about moving south
Looks like no back surgery. At least from the MRI. We have an appointment with another neurosurgeon for a second opinion and an actual examination. It's a four hour round trip but I don't trust anyone. The hospital here is going under. It's 200 bed facility and the nearest hospital is over an hour ...

I built a liverpool, not quite as hardcore as the other two I think but it still has some grind. I didn't have any issues that I recall, it just sounded great

Re: Fetron
In fact I thought of this after I hit post. I'm sure there are people out there that strongly believe a champ is a way better sounding amp than a mesa. Working on a champ is WAY easier than a mesa... does that make it an apples to oranges comparison? I don't think it does. But... there's the rub, it...

Re: Fetron
...bogner shiva ... Fuchs Mantis... Reeves space cowboy... also way nicer and easier to work on. Maybe they don't have the 50000 knobs and features the mesa has... You bet they don't. What you list are pretty much semi-dual channel amps with common tone controls so what's even the point of the exam...

Re: Fetron
I have a fairly limited experience on this, so I won't go into it too deeply, but I've worked on a bogner shiva, way more expensive than the prices you're quoting, and it was way better laid out than that. I've also worked on a Fuchs Mantis, way cleaner and easier to access and work on. I've worked ...
