Re: Dumble brands components list
Hello everybody, I am new in this forum , longtime player and short time builder :? Fascinated by Dumble amp for decades although never build one because lack of knowledges . So with time I learn from you step by step. A long path full of humility and still a long way to go. I decided to try a buil...

Here's a link to Dale RN65D: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Vishay-Dale/RN65D1003FB14?qs=23HxBOW7cwyqtBo7WYb2kg%3D%3D Not exactly cheap at $1.50 each for RN65D's, but you only need four for an ODS. The data sheet shows specs for Mil style RNXX, which are equivalent to CMFXX. Six if you are bu...

Re: My take on a 2nd Gen ODS
I don't see any issues under the board, it all looks good to me. You should be able to use your DMM to trace back from known good point (PI) if you don't have a scope (exactly as Dan describes above).

Re: Starting to populate the chassis....
Yes, that's what I meant to say and yes, I have that schematic, enlarged and ready to go. I've already got the 345k trimmer on the board. Let's see what it's like before I see if I want to switch it with a 100k. Thanks for the link and info. Brian If you play mostly single coils I think you'll love...

Looks great! Remember to add the 150K from the FET as its part of the dropping string. If you don't your voltages will be higher than expected

Hey Camden, congrats on your build! Nice job! Cab looks super cool too. You may want to revisit the plate resistors though, I think RN60 may be on the rating edge and HAD used RN65 for the plates anyway. I'm sure Martin will chime in with the exact calculation :D Something else to consider is your c...

Re: Which Dumble model is closest to the VOX sound
This makes me curious if there are any Vox amps out there that were modified by Dumble. I've seen plenty of examples of Fenders and a few Marshalls, but it would be interesting to see what he would have done to an AC-30 or AC-15. Matt J. I heard there is a Vox that HAD modified for Mike Cambell. I ...

Re: Amp parts for sale
Everyone, I thought I could handle selling stuff but that proved impossible with my health. My heart has decreased Left Ventricle ejection fraction at 36% so not getting enough air, of course medication increased so breathing a lot better now. Next is to tackle my blood sugar levels so I don't slee...

Here is a clip of him playing it. Interesting he is going into the FET.

Re: Bonamassa new amp day
Honestly guys, he's responding to folks saying that he is "buying up all the vintage gear" which is such a preposterous suggestion. I've seen him say it a few times, if you're upset that he is buying up a 'burst or a Dumble, he will give you first dibs on it (I'm paraphrasing here...) :D I personall...

I have one of these transformers and it runs 460V on the plates. #183 has the same transformer and was documented at 462V on the plates. Slightly higher than a Twin transformermartin manning wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2024 11:59 am The TF-130 PT was a Fender Twin replacement, so you should shoot for 440-450V B+1.

Re: Bluesmaster HRM question:
Just throwing some stuff in my Mouser cart and found that they won’t have the trusty 166F12C 12v transformer for about a month. Plugged the spec’s into the search tool and came back with the Triad F-216X. Everything matches up except that the Triad is not CT’d. Does that rule this model out or is i...

Re: Tweedle Dee on Carter
Totally makes sense. I was wondering about those F&Ts, never seen them in any amp from HAD.
