Looks like you added a tone stack (Treble-Bass). What did you use there?

Re: Don't Try to Stop Me!
This isn't what you want to hear, but you ought to sell it as-is on ebay and buy a new chassis and transformers. If you are just going to start bastardizing a classic, save the poor thing and start clean sheet. You can get a nice 6MX marshall style chassis from tedweber.com for $30.00. Standard mars...

Re: Twenty-watt, simplified, customized 6g3 build "SBS"
You can very easily dump some gain right at the 220k that leads into the second stage. Just run an additional 220k(or to taste) to ground right there on the board to reduce signal.
If that fails, you could also try wiring V1 up like a 6g2 Princeton.

Re: Need advice on building an amp with tons of clean headroom
S2 amps built this cool little Custom Deluxe AB763 into a Princeton Reverb sized chassis. He spec'd it with a passive loop that can be omitted if not wanted. Super clean build.

Another cool small space AB763-oid. The Luker Tiger.
Clever packaging of the circuit.

Re: Need advice on building an amp with tons of clean headroom
This is another good one. Powerful amp in a very small space. Your basic AB763 Normal channel. SS rectifier. Dumble style mid-boost for flavor Allen Amps used to offer these cool little single channel, simple amps as a kit, but no longer has them available. There was a 5F2V brownface vibrolux normal...

Re: Need advice on building an amp with tons of clean headroom
This is something of an aside, and nothing against any of the afore mentioned circuits. IMHO, Some circuits do produce nice clean tones very well, but some don't feel that great to play and they don't produce familiar tones that many seek( without directly saying so . ) Sometimes these qualities are...

Re: bruno cowtipper schematic
Tag, it is obvious you are a fanboi of Bruno amps, which is fine. However, the chassis pictures that have been posted are of several different amps, not just one isolated build/prototype. Whether (or not) the amps sound fantastic is not in question. The the issue most have, is that the Bruno Cowtipp...

I read that his DRRI's were equipped with Hoffman style turret boards.M Fowler wrote:I just sent a message to Jonny Lang to see if he is still using his Fender DRRI and how he likes it. Not sure what recorded song he used the DRRI on but I know he used it on the Experience Tour.

The mighty Bruno Cowtippers in all of their glory....
Certainly not the cleanest builds out there in the boutique world.

B+ Node for Pre & Cath Follower-5F6 shared vs Plexi sepa
Question. What differences would there be in tone/feel/operation in feeding the preamp and cathode follower from a shared B+ Node versus using a separate cap in the B+ rail specifically for Preamp and for the Cathode Follower tonestack? (Lets ignore the difference in capacitance from the JTM45 to th...
