Re: My Dumble archive

I am no attorney. However, I can't believe a legitimate notice of a copyright violation would be sent via email. The wording of the notice is certainly not the legalese one would expect if authored by an attorney either. Additionally, no legal recourse or remedy is threatened should you not comply. ...

Irregardless of which channel Larry's playing with in the clips they are some of the best Dumble tones I've heard as well. Stellar job Brandon!!!

The lead dress and details give it away. To tidy for HAD. And I used to think he was more obsessive than you.

Hey do you mind telling us if the goop improves the tone and if so what brand do you use. I read on TGP ...

Re: 100K non HRM Clips

You need not "invest" in a hard drive recorder. There are plenty of relatively inexpensive interfaces to your computer, e.g. Lexicon products, plus a mic and some audio software, for simple stuff free Audacity, and your set with reasonably good quality and all the hard drive recording capacity your ...

Very tasteful playing Gil. I'd like to hear more under better recording conditions. You should have no trouble selling the amp.

Re: Local feedback on CL2

I think he is referring to the effects loop and placing a 250pF/220k in parallel across the preamp out and the power amp in.

Now if we heard you playing the AxeFX we would have a basis for a more valid comparison. It would be a very interesting test. I believe I recall Zucker saying he was selling all his tube gear.

The 4 Ohm seems to be the preferred terminal for the standard(not bluesmaster) PI feedback line.
I've not been aware the preferred terminal was other than the 4ohm one for the BM. It's easy enough to switch, but which one are you suggesting is preferred?

Re: Two Rock Sterling on ebay w/ gut shots

JimiB wrote I'm pretty sure he has the schematic - therefore I would guess it's pretty damn close. That wasn't really the case in the Ruby/TW Express clone. They changed several values for the worse IMO and added an effects loop. I didn't realize how off it was until I made my Ruby clone stock TW c...

Re: Source of Dumble Tone.....

HAD developed his skills through hard work over a long time. Brandon developed his skills through hard work for a long time. Scott developed his skills though hard work over a long time. So it appears there is no easy route...put in the hard work over a long time and you'll probably have good resul...

Re: Need suggestions for dull sound

You should try and post several pics. It would show us type of caps and resistors you used, shielded cable and where, how your wires are layed out and a thousand other things. Building it is just the first half anyway, tweaking to your taste is a great learning experience and my not ever end.
