Mystical Peavey Delta combo Blues buzz thing.

I have been working on a Peavey Delta Blues with the 2x10 combo cabinet and it seems to buzz on top of certain notes being played. I have checked all the caps and the voltages are in the ballpark with the schematic. I have gone through the amp several times with no luck, I did notice that the PCB wa...

Decorative Head screws

Thanks for the reply, While they look nice I do not think I am going to use them because they are not that functional for the application I need. I am mounting a chassis into a combo cabinet. I did happen to find some brass screws at the hardware store that should work.

Best Regards,
Brian

Decorative head screws

This is not a very technical question, however has any one used the Decorative head screws for mounting chassis to cabinets? They look nice but do not seem to functional, being how there is no slot for a screw driver. Any special tricks can be done to keep from marring the decorative finish? Best Re...

That does work fine unless the space is too tight to get the length of the drill into.

Socket holes

If your planning on doing a lot of fabrication I would definately recommend the greenlee punches. They cut clean and are easy to use, with proper care and oiling they should last a while. The unibit is good for the home DIYer however it leaves a fine metal curls attached to the other side that must ...

Your welcome

Your welcome LeftyStrat, any little thing helps, I know with me I get aggitated when i have to untangle a bunch of wire, this is so much easier. Children

Oh man, I try to keep the SR away from the children. I do alot of things different now since I have children, I remember when they were crawling around and grabbing the guitar neck on one of my guitars that was set up with a double locking floyd rose. I started stringing the ball end through the nec...

NOS resistors

Since we are on the topic of resistors, I came across some Carbon Comp NOS resistors. Are they really any different than the new production carbon comps? besides price.

punches

The punches leave no metal spurs, very clean cut . Does that justify the price? That's up to you.

Thanks for the replies.

I put a couple of AlNiCo Tone Tubbies in the bottom and have the original speakers in the top, However I would like to preserve the originals and add a couple newer speakers to the mix. I am thinking of going with a couple Weber's.

I wanted to get an opinion on what your favorite speakers are in the vintage BF Super Reverbs and why?

The Oxford 10L6
The Jensen C10R
The CTS 10"

Thanks all.
