First Amp and Cab
Finally got done with my first amp and cab that I built. I started off with a Ceriatone kit for the chassis and components. I now have parts for 4-5 more builds completely from scratch using the BOMs on here. The cab was more difficult than I expected, especially getting those corners on just right ...

SSS #004 Fan?
Does anyone know how the fan is connected in the SSS #004? Also is it pushing air into the cab or pulling it out? I was also wondering, why was the fan included in this model and not others ? TIA!

Nice job! Where did you get the PCBs from? Beautiful work by NH on the chassis too

Re: How to install metal corners
Just made the jig above, works great! I was struggling with these corners and this makes it so much easier.

Re: Any suggestions for quality solid core wire source
I felt the same way for a long time now xtian. I guess I'm just curious if solid will be anything that I can hear a difference in using. There have been plenty of things that I never would have guessed I could hear a difference in implementing but have proven to do so. I will buy some of that wire ...

Re: ODS 124 PCB Build
Finally got some tube sockets. I had previously ordered an Amplified Nation chassis, but decided to do that build with eyelet boards. For this build I'm going to use a Ceriatone chassis with some custom faceplates (editable artwork is shared in the Dumble files section). I still have to order quite...

Whiteside Lock Miter Router Bit
Just tried out a new Whiteside lock miter router bit on some Purebond and was surprised how good it came out. Should be even better with Baltic Birch that has more plies. Had very little tear out. You really need a router table with fine adjustment. If you have one it should only take 15 min or so t...

Re: New ODS chassis from Thailand
This thread got me wondering how one would know a real Dumble from a fake assuming someone used consistent build parts and techniques like HAD. I’m sure HAD has a list of everything’s he’s made but without going to him how would you know? If you are looking at an obscure serial number no one has hea...

Re: Purebond Vs Anything Else
The closest place that I can find selling Baltic Birch Plywood is almost a 6 hour round trip. Does that stuff even exist as a retail product in the real world? I’ve sure never seen it anywhere. I think retail stores used to carry it but it's been years, maybe someone else has a better timeline? I e...

Re: Purebond Vs Anything Else
I'm a BB ply or 'nothin' guy on plywood. The construction grade will have voids that you won't see [unless you cut across them] which could make odd resonance issues. Another great wood store for American and exotic hardwoods is Jefferies in south Knoxville TN. They also carry BB. Russ Great, thank...

Re: Purebond Vs Anything Else

Purebond Vs Anything Else
I'm going to make several head cabs and some 2x10 and 4x12 speaker cabs. The closest place that I can find selling Baltic Birch Plywood is almost a 6 hour round trip. Shipping it here is ridiculously expensive. So my options are Home Depot Purebond Birch Ply which is a birch veneer and some unknown ...
