So figure 6A heater current for just the power section, and another amp for the 3 preamp tubes (300mA each, I think). So the heater supply needs to be pretty beefy--7 amps at least. I have ordered Cornell-Dubilier PVC series caps from Allied Electronics. If I'm understanding correctly, C.D. makes Mallory, so....equivalent? Hopefully I'll find out!

Allied also stocks the Mallory TC75 and TC78 caps for the power supply.

Is the pic accurate?

The reason I ask, is there is a missing connection in the PI. 220K resistor and cap not connected to the turret.

Unless you've connected that already, and the pic is "1 generation removed" from what you've done.
