Re: Power Scaling the Liverpool
The PS pot that Kevin sells has a 2KV 'case' rating. Slight tangent --- would you please tell us exactly what pot this is that Kevin ships? I would expect a JAN or RV4 marked Clarostat/PEC/A-B. If there are other sources, it would be helpful. JaySG, rv4naysd105A PEC (Power Scale) rv4naysd253A PEC (...

Re: Wasted half of tube
If you mean not being utilized, then yes. In the Francesca pictures it is the second tube that only uses half.

Re: What Twreck amp is this
I don't know what this would be but I have one comment. I don't believe the TW approach has ever been the "swiss army knife" approach. In fact, I believe Ken even stated that in a recent interview. TW's are more of a "per application and player approach". This has been supported in my experience too...

Re: Matchless to Rocket conversion
Oh yeah...and the paralleled first stage would either need a plate and cathode resistor and cap adjustment or remove the paralleled status.

Re: Layouts
Just SELECT ALL through the EDIT menu or just press CTRL-A and then go to SAVE AS and select under SAVE AS TYPE the JPEG FILE INTERCHANGE FORMAT (.JPG) extension. I usually change the defaulted 75% to 90% under the compression section after you press OK. Then take the file and upload it to here. HTH...

Re: Matchless to Rocket conversion
This is interesting timing. I put my pseudo-Lightning on the bench for tweaking recently but have not yet made any changes. I didn't realize that it was so close to a Rocket. Here are the basic differences I can note short of the voltage differential and the PS cap values. How to modify a Lightning ...

ODS w/Reverb
Here is another layout of an OD with reverb that I ran across on the net a while back.
I really have no idea whether this is the original schemo or a different reverb. I have never seen one.

Re: Trainflex input stages
The first option show a single/parallel arrangement where the two 100K plates resistors are connected together, effectively corresponding to a 50k load. Should it be a single 100k there? No, when you parallel a tube you double the capacitance and divide the resistance by two. It has also been said ...

I ran across these images recently.
This bit about "known on occasion to determine the suitability of potential friends by their ability to mentally calculate the square root of two" is a bit much...
I didn't know he ran ads.

Re: HERESY???
I would be very interested in the pictures of your Dumble, Funk. Have you closed in on the remaining 10% and do you have some updated schemo/layout for that?
Thanks,
Ross
