Neg. Feedback Question

What kind of a change in sound would I expect if I change my neg. feedback from 47K / speaker jack to 100K / 4ohm tap?

Re: Static Type sound When I Turn the Amp On.

I found the problem. So I think. There was a loose solder joint under the board. I finally pin pointed it after chop sticking for the third time. I have the board lifted up so I fixed that. The solder pad had lifted off of the PCB. While I'm at it, I'm going re-flow all of the solder joints. Keeping...

Static Type sound When I Turn the Amp On.

Hello. I been trying for a while now, off and on, to fix the issue I have with my Marshall Superlead. The issue I'm having is when i first turn my amp on, It makes a static sound for a about 30 seconds or so and then goes away and stays away once it is warmed up. It does this with no guitar or cord ...

Re: Marshall Superlead Very Bass Heavy / Woofy

Is this a clone or an original? Check things that age…my first guess is always tubes …power tubes are the usual suspects… Check bias Check amp voltages Check wall voltages unless there is some intermittent connection somewhere down the line like you theorize , it’s probably simply aging parts somew...

Yes. with the bass all the way off, it sounds real bassy then whe I turn the bass up, It gets more bassy.

Marshall Superlead Very Bass Heavy / Woofy

Hey all, I posted in another thread about my Superleads's channel 2 (normal channel) being too bassy. Well, Its not channel 2. It behaves this way even when plugged into just channel 1with the bass control all the way off. My input section @ V1 & V2 up to the 2nd stage all test good & for the life o...

Re: Marshall Superlead Normal Channel

Been a while but I'm back! I had to put this aside for a while.... So this weekend I tried a 470pF bright cap on the normal channel's volume and that help a lot and sounds pretty good! Will a 47pf like what was suggested even sound better? Thanks for all of the suggestions. Is the 470 too much from ...

Re: Marshall Superlead Normal Channel

Note that the setting of the bright channel volume control determines how muffled the normal channel is. With it set to minimum CCW, there’s a 1k5Hz low pass filter in play. I tried that last night. I plugged into the normal channel only and no matter where I turned the bright channel's volume, the...
