Is this rectifier circuit drawn wrong?
Hello, Im currently building the power section of this tube od pedal but the diodes don't look right in the schematic, the two left ones. Shouldn't they be flipped? Thanks

Re: Changes to an 5F2A for more clean headroom
Cool, thanks. I see mentioned a master volume or voltage divider. How do these little amps react to a master volume before the power tube?

Changes to an 5F2A for more clean headroom
Hello, I’m going to make a little 5F2A but I want it to be as clean as possible. Any suggestions for changes to the circuit? I was thinking of just a lower gain preamp tube or a lower value plate resistor on the second stage.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Cathode follower for compression
I have it on a switch. I find it most helpful when recording clean parts. The bass notes don’t pop out as much and everything is more even. I don't really use it with distortion as it softens the transients and I prefer more of a punchy sound.

Re: shielded wire gauge minimum for typical marshall preamp
On my next amp I want to try RG188. I believe its center wire gauge is 24awg.

Re: Bright cap on 2204 type master volume.
I ended up moving it to my second gain pot on a switch along with another bright cap.
It sounds better there to me.

Re: Bright cap on 2204 type master volume.
I have a 4800pf cap on a switch there, I like the tone it gives me but naturally it gets really loud really fast. Is the resistor in series with that cap meant to solve that problem?

Bright cap on 2204 type master volume.
Anyone ever experimented with bright caps on a post tone stack master volume like in a 2204?

Re: Should I use a shielded wire here?
Ok thanks, why a nylon shaft instead of metal? Oh, ground loops when you touch it?

Re: Should I use a shielded wire here?
Where would you ground the shield for that wire?

Should I use a shielded wire here?
Hello, I have an adjustable voltage divider right before my third gain stage. I have been wondering if I should keep this wire as short as possible and maybe use a shielded wire in this spot. What do you guys think?
Thanks
