Re: Reprise NOS Old Dale RN65D vs NEW Dale RN65D
First of all, Erwin thank you very much for the effort and for stepping on the plate. To be honest, I didn't hear a difference that I can put in words. But I felt that sample 1 was a touch 'mellower'/'less piercing' (?) on OD. So I chose sample 1 as my better option. @ Erwin Your hearing exactly the...

Blackface Bandmaster Amp
I thought it might be handy to have a blackface bandmaster gutshot for reference. Though it probably is not completely original either. Besides cap-material changes, resistor material changes, there are also extra grounding spots in the UP. And the wiring is more explicitly in 90 degree angles. More?

Re: UP dumble for sale
Disclaimer: Though I built a D'Lite, I'm not able evaluate the pictures for changes to the Bassman original. But... I see the signature 6PS caps. And I also notice the markings on them. I do not recall that mr Dumble marked the 'polarity' of the 6PS caps. To me this is the first case. Are there plac...

Re: 80`s dumble
The Dumble has some extra raspiness on the notes, the East is lacking.
Still wonder where that comes from.
edit: going back and forth, with the neck pickup there's little difference.

Re: EF86 Special back to EL84 HRM (revenge of the miniHRM!!)
Be aware, my playings are usually very ugly  soundclips: https://soundcloud.com/ef86special/2014-1?in=ef86special/sets/seel84hrm  Love the sound and playing. Every time I hear your clips I wonder why you have this pre-swell on your single notes. Is it the guitar, is it in your hands. O...

Re: New QUINN TKT 183 Arrived today!
Good to hear that Shad came through.
Good to hear that TKT 183 is still a great amp.
Silly to ask you but, did you play them both without a reverb pedal in the (passive) loop?
Harald

Re: Class A EL-84 dumble circuit
Was it loud?
Had the impression you cut it down, just before it wanted to take off in feedback.
OD sounded great. Tight.

Re: Robben and his Rig
I thought he meant, as if the pedalboard wasn't there. As if he went direct from guitar to amp.ayan wrote: 3. Don't understand the explanation about the Vortex boost. He says that because of that pedal it's as if the amp wasn't there. WTF???

Re: Robben and his Rig
At around 14:30 Robben comments on the second Dumble amp he has and that mr. Dumble has tried to duplicate the first amp. Robben doesn't say it's interchangeble... And the duplication is possible because mr. Dumble has pads (?). My mind starts wondering how meticulous these notes are. And how much t...

Dumble tones
Ha, while hearing Robben Ford turned me to this forum, clips from Dogears e.g. http://scottlernermusic.com/music/Fuchs-RhumbaBlues.mp3 and Mat e.g. http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=8895338&q=hi&newref=1 made we really want a d-type amp. Somehow when they pick single notes, t...

Re: indigo amps
I have but one clue: the name is McD. If this stands for McDaddy I would guess it's a #183 derivative. (Though #183 features EL34, and this one either 6L6 or 6V6). Sounds nice. PS I now hear that Matt McDonald is 'the other half' of Indo\igo Amps, so that's more likely where the amp name comes from.
