Re: VVR in a AC15
Bump. Can anyone give me a hint about the correct placement of the VVR in an AC15?

Re: VVR in a AC15
I think you want to keep the reservoir cap on the input side of the VVR, and put the VVR afetr all the fuses, so that would mean taking the VVR input voltage from the node downstream of the one marked "B", at the top of C2, and breaking the power supply string after that. I see what you mean. I'll ...

VVR in a AC15
I have a production Vox AC15 with the contemporary PCB layout. I want to put the appropriate version of Dana's VVR in it. There are fuses in the B+ line. This is what it looks like in the amp. The single blue wire is at point A. Point B might be the obvious place to put the VVR, but this on the PCB....

Re: 2Watt Sub Miniature Plexi
Good to be back! Maybe I posted this on the wrong thread. Is there a separate thread for the Lil' Devil?

Re: 2Watt Sub Miniature Plexi
The instruction manual says the B+ should go down to 50 and the Bias should go to -50. I'm not hitting those parameters.

Re: 2Watt Sub Miniature Plexi
Diode in the PS was reversed I get 175V at B+, but it only goes down to 117V. On the bias voltage, it ranges from 25-34V with adjustment of the bias pot.

Re: 2Watt Sub Miniature Plexi
I've been playing a lot and not building much. It's good to be back. I am tracing all the wiring and will chek the polarity on the caps, as you suggested.
Thanks!

Blowing fuses in Lil' Devil
I finally got around to finishing the Lil' Devil. Attempting start up, I have 120V at the mains input. I am blowing fuses every time I turn it on. Any common causes?

... The L pieces appear to be the hardest to come by. I used aluminum extrusions for the ends: two pieces, one with a 45 degree angle on one end. Then it was just a matter of drilling a hole for the panavise post. That was drilled in a rounded nub that attaches to the end of the extrusion. I drille...
