Re: What speakers sound good with the express?

What type of cabinet do you recommend for Express type amps? I have two Scumback M75 65watt from a Bluesbreaker I sold. Thinking of ordering a 2x12". No way I need a 412 as I don't play the big stages. To keep the volume down I've even considered a 1x12" as I thinkk the 65 watt speaker will handle t...

I doubt Mayer will pay top dollar because Bonamassa once owned them.

Re: Tan Dumble

Thanks for the reviews! Although I've seen Robben w a Dumble a handful of times, he usually use a rented Super Reverb or Twin Reverb. Sounds like a sweet concert. I missed him this time. I believe the SG is an old 63 SG Special. It now has 2 humbuckers but the headstock has been repaired and now has...

Re: New Robben Ford Pedal Board

I prefer Robbens tone without all the effects.
Landau, sure but not Robben.

Missed the Miles Smiles gig in Copenhagen :(
How am I supposed to keep up with Robbens touring? I've registered to all Robben email lists known to man and check his site regularly.

Re: Ceriatone vs making your own kit

I would recommend a Ceriatone kit with your favorite iron and tubes. That's what I have and it's a fantastic sounding amp. Edwin in Holland put it together for me and I think that's where the magic happens. If you are sourcing parts yourself you do it because you want to use something specific, like...

Re: Marshall 20w build

from a tgp thread. i did this and liked it "Something simple that makes a surprising difference to making it sound more like a mini Plexi is to split the cathode bias network for the power tubes. Instead of a single resistor and cap, use one per tube (double the value of resistor and cap). This does...
