Re: Matchless preamp marshall pa.
Let me change my question. What would a vox style amp sound like with a marshall pi and pa?

Re: Matchless preamp marshall pa.
Just a idea. I built the 18 watt from schematics off of the 18 watt forum.
I built the lightning from the schematic on the prowess site, now I bought a new blank chassis and trying to come up with something.

Matchless preamp marshall pa.
Has anyone tried this. I made a lightning clone and loved the cleans but the od was too fizzy. I would like to make a amp with one voxish channel and the other 18 watt with the marshall power amp and pi.

Re: BMR MV only on 1 channel
Thank's doc. One more question, the schematic of the mod shows a 2m2 resistor before the mixing resistor the mv should replace that resistor right.

BMR MV only on 1 channel
Hi, Im doing the normal channel dumble mod and I would like to put a mv only on that channel. My question is where is the best place to put it after the second gain stage. Before the cap, after the cap?

Re: Which WGS speaker for my Thiele cab?
I built a cab using the parameters, the same volume but not the same shape as the boogie one and with a et65 great I cant see it getting better for my needs. That being said put the same speaker in the boogie not so good. I didn't like the boogie cab because it was too short so I made mine taller an...

Re: VVR
Im using a green beret and also a red fang 2-12, it's not a lot I just find I have to adjust the eq a little when I turn it down. Now that I fixed my screw ups I really like what it does, but I can never leave well enough allone.

Re: VVR
I notice that the more I attenuate my amp I seem to loose a little low end. I have .02 caps on the input and pots would going up to .047 help or should I go higher.

Re: VVR
I got it up and going. I went back and touched up all the solder joints and found a broken v1 socket also, it was a bad joint. I think it works very well
I guess that little lag time afer I adjust the pot is normal. Thanks guys

Re: VVR
One more question. Now I have my 1 input wire going to the grid resistors the a res cap combo going to each grid, would I be better off just putting 1 res and cap before the grid resistors or leave it like I have it. My problem was only on my bright vol, I have it were It shuts off all the way now b...

Re: VVR
I scaled the whole amp,my volume is wide open. I have a 1 input plexi
that is internally jumperd but I have a bright vol and a normal volume.
My grid resistors were at the socket so I put a res and cap on each of the grids of v1, and a res and cap of the wiper of each volume pot.
