Re: Recommended parts and suppliers
Hey guys thanks for the input so far but my question was more along the lines of alpha vs PEC pots ( insert your recommendation here ), ceramic vs plastic sockets, which brand of caps and resistors, plastic vs metal 1/4" jacks..... I have a BOM and sources I just wonder which components are more imp...

Recommended parts and suppliers
Well I have my trannies and chassis now I am getting parts together. I can steal parts from amps I have lying around or buy new. I would rather not tear up my old PA amps even though I bought them for parts. Do you recommend specific cap, resistor, tube sockets and why. Also is ther any reason not t...

Re: Preparing for my first real build AC30 normal channel
A good learning opportunity exists here ... take a Vox Bright/Nornmal channel schematic and identify the two separate signal paths, I'd highlight one in one color and the other in another color. Then take a layout and highlight the two circuits on the layout ... that will identify which components ...

Re: Preparing for my first real build AC30 normal channel
why don't you just draw your own layout? just take a look at ac30s and similar amps My design skills are weak in terms of the actual electrical circuit. I am working on my understanding of schematics. I can copy component for component duplicating an actual amp that is in front of me but I am going...

Re: Preparing for my first real build AC30 normal channel
Is this the wrong place to post. I look at it as modifing a Rocket so figured this was the best place.
Thanks,
Mike

Preparing for my first real build AC30 normal channel
I have been playing a Kane wreck rocket clone for years and loving it but I recently got a heritage AC30 clone (Brighton III) and fell in love with the normal channel. I am planning to build a rocket with just volume , cut and a bright switch. Possibly adding a master volume and half power switch. I...

Strange Noise on bass notes with Ceriatone Express
I really love everything about this amp! I put some KT77s in it and 12AT7s in V1 and PI and got the response and tone to my taste but I have 1 problem?? Only when hitting bass notes, most noticeable with the neck pickup, I get a strange sort of raspy noise that sounds like a speaker giving out or be...

Re: Liverpool Kit Group Buy
That answers my question. Sorry about the double post, my wireless network is acting screwy. You guys are more savy than I. I just want to plug and play, swap tubes, that it for me.
Good luck though.

Re: Liverpool Kit Group Buy
This is a group buy deal that is pretty heavily discounted. This is a complete kit using mostly Ceriatone parts, except that these will have a custom faceplate and knobs. I have also worked out a deal with Reason Amplification for custom tolexed cabs. You pick the tolex color(s), and it will be shi...

Help Biasing my new Ceria tone express Clone...Please
Hi everyone, I got an Express today :D and I have a pair of GTE34Ls that was sent with it. I need to bias them and am not sure where to hook my meter probes or what setting to put the meter on and what values these tubes should run at  . I am aware of the dangers and voltages  and have ...
