Yes - that schematic was done by 10thTx, also posting on this thread so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone - so to speak. I failed to notice the omission on his as well.Dagan8 wrote: Actually the deep circuit you posted in your first post of this thread has the error as well.

Re: Dumble Light Tone Stack Questions
Gentlemen, I believe there's a mistake in your deep circuits that I failed to notice first time around... the 1M resistor and .01uF cap should be tied together at the switch side as well - i.e. join the two terminals where these components connect to the switch. Have a look at this schematic which s...

Re: CE Chassis Bolts
What about swapping the stainless screws for zinc? I don't think the dissimilar metals would cause electrolysis in normal room temps. I also read that different harnesses of the mating stainless metals would be less prone to galling. But a simple bulletin or tech note with the chassis seems suffici...

Re: CE Chassis Bolts
Thanks for the suggestions. For the Militec-1; is it the Militec-1 grease (in the little tube) or the Militec-1 synthetic metal conditioner (in the plastic bottle) you are recommending? The metal conditioner, the thing about the small bottle it's easy to work with and a small 1oz. bottle will last ...

Re: CE Chassis Bolts
Mark and I have been following this issue - I always finger tighten and remove as far as possible and never use a power tool on these and haven't had a problem. But it seems to be more prevalent than we initially thought since it's come up several times now. SS PEM nuts were selected at the recommen...

Re: Ground loop issues in D-lator
If that doesn't work, could you post a schematic of your HV power supply and rectifier circuit and heater supply, noting where and how you've grounded center taps etc.? Might reveal an issue...

Re: Ceriatone vs making your own kit
I thought the chassis I got with my Bluesmaster last year is very solid but I picked up an older secondhand black powdered chassis with the same exact holes that was thinner. I think maybe they have had different versions over time. Definitely the two that came through my workshop were from several...

Re: Ceriatone vs making your own kit
If you are planning to source your own transformers, then there's no reason why a Ceriatone shouldn't sound as good as a sourcing it all your self. I don't know if Nik has changed anything in his D-style amp kits in the last couple of years, but based on what I've seen in the past, the only componen...

Off topic, but I love ES-175s and own a very nice 'rare' blonde thinline version of this guitar. Check this guy's audasitcy!:

Re: Dumble Light Tone Stack Questions
Hi Dagan. Nobody else seems to be online tonight so let me be the welcoming committee! :D Okay - so you want a clean amp with lots of control over tone shaping... I would recommend a Skyliner stack, IMHO the best for clean tone shaping. Hardwire it for 'Rock'. You can do some cool stuff with Jazz, b...

Re: A New Dumble Inspired Alessandro Amp
Very pretty indeed!
There are certainly similar elements in a Twin topology and various Dumbles designs. Have a look at the 'Dumble Files' section of the forum for layouts and schematics and you'll see how they compare and differ from a Twin.

Re: '84 #124 tone stack & switches
Everything you've drawn looks okay to me. That said, I've also schematics showing the Deep circuit (green) connecting to the to the 'rock' side of the switch (which is connected to the 'top' of the bass pot) and I've also got some schematics in my arsenal that have it connected directly to the Bass ...

Re: Negative feedback on 50W variants.
I use 8.2K in the feedback loop and 1K in the presence circuit (with a 1 uF cap and 2K pot) tapping off the 4 ohm OT connection for my 50W builds. It's the ratio of the two resistors that matters.
