Switching and Input Questions

Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Please can someone help me to understand how the switching works on these two schematics? So far I understand that the majority of connections at input 1 on the schematics are grounded. One post goes to the plate of V1. A second post splits then ...

Re: Deluxe Reverb Build

The schematic in your vey first post. It has numerous errors that were pointed out. The next iteration you posted still has several errors in the original sections, but you have also added more circuitry which also has errors compounding the problem. Let me ask you this: how much electronics educat...

Re: Deluxe Reverb Build

Your last update made my head hurt. I suggest going back to your original schematic and get it corrected prior to adding mods. What do you mean 'original schematic'? I'm trying to correct it except I don't know where the problems are, hence the thread The schematic in your vey first post. It has nu...

How do you intend to bias the power tubes?
Yeah I figured haha, was mostly guessing when I drew them. How do these work? What would be the correct way to draw them?

I was going to use fixed bias with resistors.

Re: Deluxe Reverb Build

Yet again, some more questions on the Rivera Deluxe Reverb style build I've got going on. I've drawn the Vactrol LED's as simple LDR switches on my schematic, the latest version of which I have attached. I have some questions about how footswitching between channels and turning on/off certain functi...

Re: Deluxe Reverb Build

Here is a straightened-out Concert Series schematic. There isn't really a Concert II, but everybody uses that designation because all of the other ones are "II's". Fender Concert Series 1983.png I've just noticed that the FX loop comes after the reverb. Whereas in mine it comes before. What impact ...

Deluxe Reverb Build

Hey gang, I've been messing around with my modded deluxe reverb schematic and I've hit a bit of a snag. I've been referring to schematics of Rivera era fenders, mainly the Deluxe Reverb II and the Concert ii, and effectively combining the schematics so that I can trace my signal path. I am going to ...

Re: Rivera-style modded Fender Modded Deluxe

Hey so I've been working hard on my deluxe schematic. It's almost almost there. I have been looking at what sort of capacitor values I could use as the Deluxe has a reputation for loose bottom end that gets unpleasant when distorted. I was thinking of leaving the usual capacitors in place for the cl...

Re: Fryette Power Station

I once considered building a similar device in the hopes of saving money. Fact is that I bought a PS100 for $700 and I love it. If I want to sell it I’ll get most of my money back and it’s just to easy to keep it. It allows so much more than just being an attenuator that it’s not feasible to build ...
