Re: el34 comparision
The Tube Store .com has them for 129.00 US.I don't know how much shipping would be from the states though. Steve So, 99€ seems not to be a bad price, considering the cost and risk to have them shipped across the ocean, better for you to buy from Germany. I read and heard only rave reviews about the...

Thanks Tim, Woods are Flame Maple and Black Limba, also known as Ofram or Korina in the guitar world. Gibson used the White Limba for the Flying, Explorer.... It comes from the same tree, just at different places. Black Limba is a much favored wood in boutique lutherie today. As for a finish, I did ...

Hello Eric, I received my plates today, how to describe the quality of your work???? I am so happy. Guys, in this thread you can see some very good pictures showing how good looking is Eric's work. But believe me, it is nothing compared with the feeling you have when you see and touch the real thing...

Re: First TW Epress build
Really nice build, congrats, I may start soldering my boards today. This brings me a question about V1 wiring. On pin 6 V1, what is the effect of turning around the socket with a long wire, stuck on the chassis and crossing the heater wire (original layout) instead of using a very short wire going a...

Re: Tweed Caps
Bonjour Stéph !!! C'pas seulement un changement de marque,là, pantoute! I plan on trying to reduce my cathode bypass caps and to try 0.022 µF caps on the PI, so it is not only a brand change. As I have to buy the caps anyway I thought it may be a good opportunity to "upgrade". May be to PVC Mallorys...

Tweed Caps
Hello, I am ready to try defarting my 5e3.
All of the orange caps inside are Sprague 715, Should I keep going the same with my mod or would it benefit to stick the same Mallory's as in a TW or other caps?
Any thoughts??
Thanks in advance,
Fred.
