Re: Dumble Steel Singer schematics?

That scheme was for a Bass amp that HAD had built.

Re: '60's ODS Schematic

Yes, that amp was a Bass amp. I drew that up from notes/schematic a e-buddy sent me that he was working on. Emailed that S-Heaven guy a long time back about it being mislabeled and heard no reply and saw it was never corrected.

Re: Heyboer Transformers

From the information I've received, the Two Rock is using an 6.6k impedance OT for the Ruby.

I'd be interested in a couple of the 6.6K OT's.

Re: Wiring/Soldering Technique Question

Is this the amp that was modelled after the Bogner XTC? I seem to recall someone building an XTC in a Bassman chassis.
Yep, that was me on Ampage awhile back talking about this. Was a fun amp to do and went together much much quicker than most of my builds.

Re: Wiring/Soldering Technique Question

It's the screen resistors I mount on the board, not the grid resistors. It was a bad pic to use as it was taken in the middle of the process. Here's a better picture of another amp, the screen resistors are mounted on the board in the same location. If you look at the power tube sockets you'll see t...

Re: Wiring/Soldering Technique Question

Now this is just my preference, but I don't like having resistors not supported on both sides if I can help it. It's overly anal retentive on my part as Marshall been doing it for many many years without problems. Solution I came up with was to move the Screen Resistors to the board leaving the unus...

Re: Komet Pics

In the fast position the plate load resistance is 106K and in the gradual it is 84K. Actually, the plate load resistance is 106K in either fast or gradual mode. The difference is where the capacitor is tapping the signal from. The operational point of the tube does not change with the switch. Fast ...
