hot rod mod

You might want to look into Omegas' amp mods for the hotrod deluxe before tearing apart you amp. I sent mine to Jim for the mod and what a difference. So much so, its going back for an update he's now doing, I just have to get it there between playing jobs, thats the hard part. Jim, I'll be sending ...

NFB

Question from a beginner...does negitive feed back have anything to do with note bloom and harmonics from an amp AND would it be worth the effort to install an adjustable resistor/pot like I've seen posted else where?
Thanks

workspace

Being new and learning about this stuff I've started assembling my personal work space using one of our bedrooms with the wifes permission. I picked up a nice solder station (not cheap!), a Beckman meter, got a formica kitchen counter top from the local building supply and build a frame for it so I ...

question about negitive feedback

hi everybody, Ive been reading again and came across an interesting article, just wish I could remember where! The article said that by properly adjusting the negitive feedback, one could expect nice rich harmonics and note bloom from the amp. Could this be true? Thanks for any help.

Omega amps

FWIW... I had one of my 2 Fender HRDX's modified by Omega, and for me the change is super. The clean channel is bright and crisp, kind of blackface sounding. The first stage of overdrive, what I use the most, works for me like no other, clean with just a hint of drive but roll that volume up and sta...

gibson 125

If you like the Gibson125 you might want to look at a gibson 225. Pretty much the same body but some of them came with two pickups, not just one. I play a jam session now and then for jazz players and there's this guy who plays a double pickup 225. Sweet, very sweet and a real nice playing guitar. H...

Re;335

Hi Oldmacman. I use a Gibson ES 347 from time to time and have played my friends Epiphone 335. It would be a toss-up between the two. Its my opinion one should play everything you can. You'll know when you have found the right one, it will just feel right to you.

Re:Jim Messina

I was just thinking about your post and thought I would mention another recording jim did. Loggins & Messinas "you need a man". During the first part of the song jims guitar is "dry" till the solo where a lot of reverb and a wah pedal is used and remains in use till the end. You can hear the transit...
