Re: Light bulb limiter tured bright at power on

Saywhat71 wrote: Fri May 03, 2024 4:07 pm I just plugged a mixer into my light bulb limiter and the bulb lit up fast then faded. Is this normal?
Probably. But brightness is relative. All depends on the normal current draw of the device under test and the bulb wattage.

Re: JTM45 Build, looks alive but no sound,

Lastly, I used the signal generator of an oscilloscope to send a sine wave thru the amp. I connected the scope to the grid of V1A (12ax7) and I get a normal sine wave. I turn on AC coupling and connect the scope to the Plate of VIA, I get a clipped sine wave. (photos attached). The clipped Sine wav...

Re: What should I build?!?

Build something that uses the same output tubes as the donor amp.

Why do you say it is a 1990? Fender was not making any Deluxe Reverbs at that time and the Reissue did not go into production until 1993.

THe label inside ( tube complement ) says : Deluxe Reverb-Amp AB763
Show us what you are looking at. The AB763 Deluxe Reverb was only produced between 1963 and 1967!

Re: Fender question

I asked Bing Copilot, "When did Fender release the first 65 Deluxe Reverb reissue?"

Copilot replied, "Fender introduced the '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue in 1993."

The manual I posted was dated 1993.

Re: Taming amp gain in single channel deluxe reverb build

Out of curiosity, what does the amp sound like with the master on 10? Mine sounds terrible. Regardless of whether i implement this or not, I would like to have a somewhat usable amp through the volume sweep. I mostly played the amp with the MV on 10, but the volume pot was down below 5. I only play...

Re: Taming amp gain in single channel deluxe reverb build

I just installed a 100K master volume pot in my single channel DR. Lets you control how much signal is sent to the PI. Works fine for me. Take a look...

No, Rob is correct. 1.9Vrms = 1.414 x 1.9 = 2.69Vpeak = 2 x 2.69 = 5.38Vpeak to peak

Re: Impedence Selector Circuit Help

The NFB wire to the board will always be connected to the yellow OT wire. When using KT66s you need to change R31 to 100K (see schematic).

Re: Starting to populate the chassis....

You seem to be reading the color code wrong on those blue 5 band resistors. There are numerous places where you used a wrong value. I suggest using an ohm meter to verify the value of every blue 5 band resistor in this amp. Replace with correct values. The attached pic shows an example. There are mo...

Re: Starting to populate the chassis....

You installed 470,000Ω screen resistors instead of 470Ω. Gotta correct that before the amp will make any joyful sounds.
