Re: Hot PT
But each 6L6 uses 38mA and each 12AX7 only 1mA
So, 150mA for B+ would ve enough , right?

Re: Hot PT
Measure the heater voltage to make sure it's not being pulled down somewhere. If it's alright, and your B+ also measures alright, It could be that it's normal - on our small amps the 6L6 tubes are right near the power transformer and the combined heat does make the chassis, transformer body and any...

Hot PT
Why would a power transformer with heater consumption of just 60% of maximum heater current from transformer... And everyother voltage measuring right get HOT
I mean hot hot
Is it just about to fail?
I use 2x 6L6 and 4x 12AX7
PT gives 690v 150mA, 6.3v 5A, 5v 3A

Eq between V1a And V1b vs. After V1b
Hi,
I was wandering what difference would be having the Eq between V1a and V1b versus having it after V1b (between V1a and V1b it would be only a "gain/Clean" pot)

it has TO MANY SWITCHES
1.- channel switch
2.- boost or PAB (dumble like)
3.- mid (dumble like)
4.- bright switch for clean channel (3 positions)
5.- not used sofar
6.- bright switch for OD channel (3 positions)

Re: My Handmade "Bluesmaster/RIPPER Reverb" video
well, the OD channel (the 3rd and 4th stages) well completely dumped... redesigned I went with the OD way of overdriving the signal ... but changed the coupling caps and also (very important) the CATHODE resistors into a Trainwreck-ish third stage and a simple fourth stage , which in results gets me...

10nF, 150k to ground and 47k as grid stopper?roberto wrote:Replace everything you have between 2nd and 3rd stage with:
10nF 150k 47k voltage divider. Try also different coupling capacitors.
Then try a grid stopper to the 3rd stage, 33-220k range.

Re: Fender V1(a+b) into 2nd And 3rd stage from TW Express????
Well this is what I tested:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dae83yktqamq7 ... 20test.jpg
Sofar it has a lot of gain (as expected) And lots of output, BUT it seems also that Its to much signal for last stage and sounds a little gated (Fuzz like)
What should i do?
Will keep posting results
